H2 Saddle

No, it is a Mantis clone and built like a tank. Some people are nervous because he has a disclaimer that says it's made for "ground level" I find rather amusing what some guys will choose to be nervous about. Trust me, I'm not the biggest fan of heights and I feel 1000% safe in the H2. Great product

You may have just sold me on it.

Does it slide down while walking in with it?

I work in fire safety and industrial safety fields and the liability insurance and certifications cost thousands. Not knocking the commercial saddles but Kestral is part of New Tribe so it is covered under their manufacturing credentials and Tethered I am not aware of but I would strap my butt into any of them including H2 as I am aware of the materials used per their description and they all meet the industries standard for weights and load. Just my observation and for what its worth it lies on the individual to decide what they want and will purchase what they can afford and trust. It is not for us to be critics of those things we have not used or are familiar with. I use the SitDrag and RCH now, but will get a saddle when money allows. I use the two together as I can not stitch the waist belt and leg openings into a SitDrag, if I could then it would satisfy what I want in a saddle. Just my thoughts again. Happy Hunting...

Looks like the lineman’s loops could use some stiffening up so that they’re easier to hook into one-handed. If I were buying one, I’d ask him to double or triple layer those loops so they’re not so floppy.

If they get the insurance or certification to do above ground work then the price goes up to the same as those publicized saddles and then what sets it apart from the rest of them after that. Heath attempted to give the saddle crowd an alternative. Take it for what it is worth, but all commercial items sold are use at your own risk as far as I know it. Happy Hunting...

I’m glad he did. I’m interested in the H2. it just seems some want to attack because everyone is not recommending one. And it all goes back to his disclaimer. And they stand behind the “look at all the guys using fleece from Walmart” or a sitdrag but all the fleece Saddles are backed up with a climbing harness. And most of the sitdrags are (it has been brought to my attention that I was wrong about that) I will use one in a heartbeat I use a sitdrag with out a Rch

So.
Is there some magic rule that everyone's websites needs to say the same stuff.
People are sitting 15-20ft in the air in fleece from Walmart. But yet this disclaimer is really offensive to some...

Apparently because people are all tied up in knots over Tethrd because it don’t say made in China across the page where the gear hanger is sold.
Your argument has been weak since this thread started. You need to go hunt. You are not helping Heath’s cause, not even a little bit. Especially with this post I quoted. You can have a discussion without calling names.

And you proudly do so, as again you rule your own destiny. No criticism there. I come from a safety background and need the tied to the truck approach to feel safe above the ground so I take the RCH along for the hunt. We again choose our own ways to achieve the end goal. I've seen many attack others in a way to bring attention to themselves. Be open minded and enjoy the scenery and give advice on what you know not what you have no experience in. Just another thought of mine.

I totally agree with you. Lets get to the matter at hand. Hunting and enjoying what the creator has made for us. "Happy Hunting" my friend and God speed to your deer hunting efforts. I will add this last item, when cash permits and Heath gets his new shipment of camo in I plan to order mine. I trust his knowledge and support his wanting to provide a more cost effective saddle to the rest of us.

Oh if I didn’t have this shoulder surgery and was hunting this year you guys would have a review for sure. Being on short term disability turns me in to a tight wad! I ain’t buying anything extra! Lol. If he wants to send me one I would gladly except it! You know, so I could give reviews!
The disclaimer doesn’t deter me at all. I’m a sitdrag guy same disclaimer I have been hunting under the last 5 years.

You didn't have a problem with the disclaimer when you were looking for a freebie.
Do you know what my argument is.

Today was the first day it slid down but I did loosen the belt when I was set up. When I tighten the belt u dont even realize it's on while I'm walking

If theres any negative to the saddle that would be it. I'm sure if you asked he would do something for it. The other thing is the molle loops are just a tad small. Not a big deal it just took me an extra few seconds to attach my dump pouches not a big deal.

First off I was joking. I’ve never asked anyone for anything for free.

As I’ve said at least 50 times. I don’t have a problem with his disclaimer for me. I have said it’s hard to recommend his saddle to a new saddler because of it. That has been the point of the whole conversation.

I originally ordered a med from him which ended up being a touch to small for my liking. Heath generously agreed to exchange it for a Lg (no cost except for the few $$ to ship it back). He messaged me and said he ran out of the camo he originally used which I didnt care. Honestly the pattern on the Lg is totally fine. He had the Lg back to me in a week. Great service, great guy, great product. Hope you can get one soon, you'll love it

yeah, i might try a few things paracord corbra wrap maybe.

For $35 bucks and 4 more weeks, I would wait for a saddle that is backed by an actual company with an actual insurance plan. If they miss some stitches in QA and you fall and break your back, you are covered. H2, you are both screwed. If his product was ground use only, he wouldn't be testing the weight limit or advertising on saddle hunting sites. He wouldn't put leg straps or linesman's loops on it. If anything happens and a guy dies, it's not just going to be a monetary issue for him if the guys family wants to go after him.

??? Tethrd has both as well.

What kind of insurance plan does tethrd have?

Not affiliated with tethrd, but I've been told it's one that covers a customer if there is faulty equipment.
