I had decided that I was fed up trying to find quality hunting clubs that you could, 1 tolerate the rules, two tolerate the members, or 3 afford the fees each year for decent hunting land. So I decided I wanted to start hunting some quality public land in my state. I knew I did not want to hunt out of a climbing stand. I started looking for the lightest lock on stand and lightest climbing methods I could find. This is when I ran across the Wild Edge steps. I was very intrigued with them and started researching them as much as possible. From there I found
@Boudreaux, and his videos on YouTube, which ultimately led me here and then to purchasing my Kestrel. I jumped in feet first, and actually had to check myself and slow down a bit when I first joined. I can't remember being that excited about anything since the birth of my daughter. I will never hunt another way as long as I'm capable of climbing a tree. Went to saddlepalooza not having been on the forum very long, but really wanting to meet some of the guys. So glad I went, and so glad I joined this forum. I can't say that I met one person at saddlepalooza, or engaged one person on this forum that I have not liked. This is the first forum I've ever been a member of, and is like my second home. Thanks
@redsquirrel for running this site, and thanks to everyone that makes this such a fun place to hang out!
