It is the 28th where I am right now. So today opens in S FL and I won’t be home and able to hunt till the 4th.

65 days.......and I hate it!!!!
Early mornings, long days, late before crawling in bed, loss of weight, sandwiches, walking those hills, crossing ditches aND rivers, wading swamps shallow creeks, climbing trees, sleep loss, vacation days, gas money, miles on vehicle, sitting in blinds and ground, the misses, friends that you did not know you had start calling you, tents, camp house, ladder stix, climbing spurs, platforms, ropes, saddles, out of state license, the almosts and IFs, swirling winds, rain, cold, heat, bugs, snakes, mud, ice and so much more

I lied, I can't hate this.......,.,I lover this!!

I just noticed that crossbow season is longer than bow season. Who is setting up the rules. So if I don’t want to shoot a crossbow then I can sit at home while they hunt. That sucks!

Sept 7 in MD and Sept 29 in the northern tier of PA. Don't want to be political on here but after moving to MD I asked about the deer bag limits and a "seasoned" coot told me, "They're very liberal and that was the only time the term could be properly used." It didn't take long for me to figure out what he meant on both fronts! Regardless, I thought it to be funny. Shoot straight my dangling friends!
 
Regular Archery Season in Va starts the 6th of October. 70 Days and counting.
 
41 days if I’m counting right!!
