Sold off all your climbers? I just don't think I will be using them much anymore. I got 3 summits I am thinking I may sell. I think new sticks and etiers may be in my near future!!

I bought a climber once. I think I used it like 5 times ever.

I Have a lone wolf sitting in the shed that I think I have used twice since I got my saddle.

I sold every single one of my metal stands. Sold close to ten lock on's and the climber I used for years. Thought for a bit I would regret it but I haven't missed them one bit!

Climbers still have their place in my gear. Get on the side of a ridge and need to climb 40ft just to be above the deer, a climber is a no brainer. Granted now that I have the 1 stick climbing method, that may change.

I'm thinking about selling my Summit climber and hang on I have after getting the saddle. Might hunt out of it next year before selling. Haven't hunted from the saddle yet.

I thought this was stupid question until I actually started to hunt out of a saddle. I had a climber in a tree already and a ladder stand hung in a good spot when my Guido's Web arrived this year. I have hunted them each exactly 1 time since getting my Web.

I probably won't sell my Viper because you never know. A quick hunt pops up during gun season with a short walk to the stand... A new property that I may want to scout before putting up anything permanent...

But I will sell all of my other stands, keeping just a ladder for when my old man comes to hunt with me. But his knees are so bad that it will be ground blind only for him soon.

I have a 2lb John E. sling on the way before next year. And I'm sure I will pick up one of these Aero, Evo, treesaddle, type slings before next year as well.

All my buddy's think it's a stupid question and think I'm crazy for hanging off the side of a tree in a sitdrag. They won't try it. I guess a little aluminum makes them feel safer

I won't sell my Climber. If it's so cold that I need to wear my heater body suit, I'll use the climber. Plus you never know when you might need it.

I have 3 summits - revolution, 180 and a razor. I could let 2 of the 3 go forsure. My razor may stay a little longer than the rest it is more versatile

I had a summit and sold it years ago after getting a lone wolf assault and sticks. It was more comfortable but I hated trying to find a telephone pole to climb. Especially bow hunting where I need to be close and even more so with trad bows. Hunting for a tree isn't an option unless you have plenty good climber trees in your area.
Now the saddle has me thinking of selling my assaults. I only hunted from it once this season and wish I was in the saddle the whole time.

Love my flip top climber. Fast and quiet. I reach for it a lot in hilly terrain especially when I'm climbing more than 30 feet high. Cold weather is a no brainer. I prefer a cast aluminum stand paired with my IWOM or HBS.

May I ask what a John E. Sling is?

John Eberhart's sling. Check out the ultralight saddle thread. He has pics and descriptions. Its essentially a modified Anderson tree sling.

Yep. I have the Web now which as as much weight as I would ever want in a saddle. John's which rolls up like a softball and weighs 2lbs, which is probably as small as I ever need to go. And then something in the middle which is TBD: Aero, Evo, treesuit, tree saddle...

I sold my climber to fund my saddle. I kept my Lonewolf alpha and sticks because I used it more often anyways

I still hang 3 or 4 lock on stands and let my friends that are new to the sport hunt them. I got two buddies to try bow hunting last season and they're both hooked. I'll hang some stands in doe/heavy use areas so those guys have a place to hunt without much effort and will see deer. I don't want them to give up because they don't have a spot to hunt.
