What ever happened to vendors selling products only after they had been made??? Why have customers allowed this to become the new normal??
And no, it's not most industries if that's what you're thinking. I recently "ordered" an expensive tractor part from my local Kubota dealer. They put the order in and said 4-6 weeks lead time. Perfectly fine. But here's the kicker... Brace yourself... They didn't charge me a dime. And they won't until the item has arrived and is ready for me to pick it up. That's how business should be conducted. It's worked for millenia, why are we so impatient these days??
STOP paying vendors before they are able to fill orders. You completely de-incentivize them from actually filling the order when they already have your money!
If you are a vendor that is taking people's money before you can actually deliver a product: Shame on you!
If you are a buyer that is willing to destroy our market places by giving away your money before products are even made: Shame on you!

These companies have a lot of overhead within the process of the manufacturing.
I’m not worried about them taking my money and running with it … I’ll gladly make a preorder for a product I would buy if it were in stock so that company has the funds to bring a great product to the market.
These sticks take time and money to make, as long as I get them before September I’ll be fine.

You and I are on the same page on that. I vented about that to Tethrd and probably here as well.
But that is still completely unrelated to my above rant. That's a separate problem in this industry.

Idk. Tethrd took money on two Generations of can't cut the mustard. On top of years of similar meh production other stuff.
You're giving Latitude a hard time over a two month delay. Please, lets see where it goes first.

Gen 2's are running just fine for me. The recall sure was a hassle, though.
You see that guy here a few days ago who sold his set of five Gen 3 One sticks because he ordered these still-non-existent Latitude carbon sticks? I sure feel bad for that guy come the opener...

Lol he is my brother and he isn’t worried… besides we always hunt together the opening day of archery season so we can videotape our hunts.
I placed a preorder the first week of February and I’m not concerned…I still have a few Gen1 muddy pro sticks in the garage if I don’t have the carbon sticks come Maryland opener

Besides I’m trying to transition from a Tethrd fanboy to a Latitude fanboy… I just got my Method 2 on Saturday now I just need the carbon sticks and a Latitude hat

tethrd sucks. they have a long repetitious history of selling undertested and then recalling products after they break, but still the fans dont care. latitude doesn't suck... yet. i dont have a problem pre-orering something, as the expectation is just that... you pre- order, as in buy before it's ready. no different than a kickstarter etc. these sticks seem to me to be the newest/ most different thing on the market, particularly if you're interested in sound more than total weight. i am a bit annoyed that the supply chain/ manufacturer issues are happening (and that we're getting somewhat of a vague explanation) but i'd rather wait for a delayed product than buy one and have it recalled multiple times. should the latitude sticks get recalled i suppose i'll have to eat my words, even though that would be a first for them, not a what, third, fourth? for tethrd? if you want to try to cast shame on me for preordering, go ahead and try, it doesn't make me feel any different, and pre-ordering has been around since the 80's, it's not going away. why dont you all just calm down and wait for those of us that ordered sticks to get them and let you know if they're good or not?
The all knowing and all seeing classifieds section will tell all when the time is upon us.

What did that post have to do with any of this? That was in reference to the dude struggling setting his Ambush platform. These dudes were not struggling with their climbing sticks. Seems they think the latitude stick is going to deflate the market for tethrd one sticks because the are cheaper and nearly as light. So they rushed to “get money for them while they can”

You were pretty outspoken about on the Fix before you tried one. But your tune changed to…it’s the best platform on the market.
I just remembered that.
