Latitude Carbon Sticks - Saddle Attachment Method?

I don't doubt you one bit. I still believe it's people promising it'll be done when it won't, or they wouldn't launch their product. I doubt they want to deal with delays to the consumer, that'd be idiotic. Some one or several some ones weren't honest about timing. You could be right about why they missed the mark, but they did and they weren't honest about it

Sadly Latitude and other niche companies like them have little to no recourse with their manufacturer/supplier for the initial order. They have already made a large investment in tooling, marketing, components etc. If they canceled their order they would have to start over again. That would put Latitude another 9-12 months behind. Suing would not do much good either because the defending lawyers would claim Force Majeure. Latitude would spend hundreds of thousands if not millions to prove false promises were made. It’s just a lose lose situation for every one.

A bit confused here. I placed an order on 7/1 for carbon SS sticks. Followed up via email on 7/5 and they bounced back confirming my order was on track to ship the end of July. After reading this string, I followed up again. They already responded tonight confirming it is still on track to ship as promised. Should I be concerned?

They replied. If they didn’t reply I would be concerned.

Well, glad they replied, HOWEVER, the webpage is now showing September for new stick orders.
I always feel for these companies releasing new product and the company that's making them. I have worked in the aerospace and automotive manufacturing industries for 10 years now. I have been part of many new developments in both (if you have ridden on a plane or driven a car in the last 10 years, you have a part I've had a hand in developing in it). Between time to get steel, time to build dies, time to try out the die before production, fixing tooling issues, testing products to come off that die to make sure it meets requirements, making changes and then to do it all again until its good enough to reach production. There's ALWAYS some sort of issue with a new product development. All this being said if the supplier of the sticks is a smaller company, they have to deal with employees taking vacations all summer and this can delay production times also.

All of what you said may be true, however, it is also incredibly irresponsible of any company to not take those things into consideration when making delivery promises.

I for one am pretty wore out with the promises made by many of these companies within the hunting space with "pre-orders", especially when consumers purchase in FEBRUARY to give themself ample time to prepare for the upcoming season, dishing out cash that they also have to go to work for, only to watch promised delivery times slip. It's frustrating, nauseating and eventually, a little infuriating.
To be fair, hunters are suckers because we continue to give these companies a pass when this occurs.

Without giving away too much about myself, I'm a technician with a significant amount of time and experience repairing equipment in the financial industry. Imagine if you will how po'd you yourself would be if you went your particular financial institution to withdraw YOUR money and were told, sorry, our equipment is broke, come back next week. You go back next week and get the same answer, then the next week.......every industry runs into challenges, but you better darn well figure it out.

Probably sold the first batch out and now switched orders to second batch of sticks. At least that is what I hope happened. Would rather not wait till September to get my sticks.
I for one am hoping this is the case. If I don't see some sticks by end of July, order is getting canceled.

I agree it should be taken into consideration. I don't know how much experience Latitude has with that industry. I would hope they had ample to be able to produce and promise a delivery date accurately. But who knows, it's all about trying to be the next big thing and keeping your name out there.

It does matter what you have if your name is mud. Latitude just went with the information they were given. I bet they also put some fluff on the date given, probably a month or two. I’m guessing Latitude will suffer financially from it, but will the consumer? No, because they either canceled their order or impatiently waited. Either way, the consumer got a bad taste in their mouth.

Pretty easy way to solve it. Don't buy any pre orders.
Just wait till they are in stock and buy it. I don't mind waiting especially if it is only a month late. In today's environment that isn't horrible.

I am still waiting on a pair of go no go gauges I ordered in March for a rifle I am putting together. But nobody had them in stock and every machine shop that makes them is backed up to no end. You think this is bad order a custom rifle or barrel wait times are ridiculous.

I will cut latitude some slack they are a newer company and I like their products. If they are off a month so be it.

I was charged when I placed my order - I am not a fan of that. It would seem to me, the right thing to do would be to place it as "pending order" to verify the info i provided is accurate. - but not actually charge my card until the product ships. Most businesses only charge for product once it has been processed and left the plant.

I think they're 2 months late, not that I think that will sway anyone. It's not their first whoops either. The platforms were late, and not coated, so the first batch wasn't even finished. Doesn't matter if the coating was an after thought, it's not finished or some people got free upgrades? I guess? They should know better, they should be better and we should hold them accountable.

Anyone who ordered them.
But @JamieB above nailed it.
You place a order. Get billed, after months the product does not ship. The company goes out of business. You may have lost your money. Happened to some guys on here with a saddle.

Sounds like the folks cancelling orders are getting their money back from Latitude.

Yah this is making me less of a latitude fan boy because sticks were supposed to ship at the end of June, then early July then late July.... I don't think they are going to go out of business and keeping my order active, I've got a one stick and beasts to use if they are super late, but still hoping they will arrive before season and be good. We shall see.
