Is there anyway to have a 15” platform that doesn’t cam? Hang on stands have been around for over 30yrs, and they all cam to this day. The only way to get away from the cam in a bigger platform would be a climber type platform. Then I might as well use a climber.

The answer is yes, you could certainly have a 15" platform that was non-camming. Hang-on stand have been around way longer than 30 years and there have been several that were non-camming. The problem is there are very few innovators, mostly a bunch of followers once a concept is proven. There is a lot that could be done with platforms and stands if someone was willing to innovate and get outside the box in how they see innovation. Getting lighter and stuff that flexes all over the place isnt innovation, it's refinement.

What’s your stand going to be called so we can start hyping it up
The only name I've thought of so far would be something with 'SNEAK' in it because that's the acronym of the first letter of mine, my wife's and daughter's names.

All I have experience with is the Treehopper Tree Suit and the Mission. I really like the Treehopper and the way it's sort of triangle shaped and not square, but I really have no room to stand. Last year I hunted all day until 230 pm in a tree that was just slightly leaning back towards me. I could not stand or have any balance and be hands free on the platform. I had to get down. I use a Horn Hunter pack with the Mission and I made j-hooks for my Beast sticks to attach to the platform, no straps, no sound, no wiggle. I can stand on the platform and just take a little break from hanging or just face the other way. The weight is a non issue.

People poo on Tethrd but I think the Predator has the best size to weight ratio out of the platforms that I’ve tried. Trophyline EDP is nice as well but it doesn’t fold flat like the Predator.
Predator is good.
spend the dollars and it will last.

If you can figure out how to have a sturdy platform with no toe caming, or not needing 2 ratchet straps to keep it against the tree, then you have thought a lot further outside of the box than 99% of the hunting industry.

Whatever happened with that situation? I haven’t really stayed up to speed on what happened…..only bits and pieces…..here and there…..
It'd be faster to Google "submarine titanic" or Ocean gate.
But to answer your question: Implosion!

They had a 4" thick Carbon fiber hull that they never did NDI on after a few deep dives, and many red flags resulted in total implosion of the submarine on its decent. It would have been instant.

The annual race for the Darwin award got called early is what happened. Gotta give 'em credit though, they went full send. Hate it for them and their families but what did they think was gonna happen gettin in a carbon toilet paper holder you drive with an xbox controller and head 12k feet deep in the ocean check out the long term boat parking area.

I personally like it a lot. It is really light and low profile to carry. It has some flex, but that’s coming with an amazingly thin profile. The attachment works pretty well once you get the hang of it.
