Lone wolf handclimber/ Saddle combo Part 3

@Adrena123 I think I am almost there! sorry for picking your Brain so Much on this.... but you keep give great advice!!!
Are you using a OCB Buckle or a ratchet straps for the platform once to are up the tree?

No worries... I'm using an OCB. Sometimes I don't use the strap. It depends on the tree and situation. Hard smooth trees, i always use the strap. Reason I'm telling you this is because instead of girth hitching the strap on one side and always having it installed, I went back to my original style. Which is a biner on each end. I just clip it on when I want it, other wise it stays in pack.

You are awesome! Another idea i'm going to steal! I played with my LW the other day and didn't strap it in and was very comfortable but I'm sure there's time this would come in handy! Thanks again @Adrena123

@Adrena123 after your video the is the second best thing I found out there!
If you make a video like this for the LW climber! You will have WL paying you money!

when will you be posting some pictures of the hard-wear you used? and the best degree to set the arms at? I am ready to modify mine. I would like to get it right the first time.

Anyone got pics of their foot loops on the climber?

This is all I’ve got right now!

If you look at early post there are some more photos of foot straps. I am waiting on my saddle to arrive so I can play around with setting of the foot straps. Which are moving right it front of the arms or just behind.

Question I have is what bag pack are you guys using to carry the LW platform? The one I have now will not work as it does not fit inside or have straps on the outside.

I have a Mystery Ranch Mule. Works great. I put the LW between the frame and the bag.

The strap is an adjustable one from third hand. I included a little brown buckle in the second pic, i may change to that at some point. Also, depending how big your feet are, you may have to mount strap one rung forward. Both locations work perfect.

I've asked this before, but will ask again.
I'm considering cutting off the outer row of skeleton in order to reduce the size of the platform for packability and weight reasons. I only wear a size 9 boot and its not like I would ever be using the seat as a seat.
I could also go with the Summit cable con version and shorten the arms by a couple inches, which would enable it to pack smaller.
Both of these mods would reduce weight, but my main focus is getting it to fit in my pack. Any thoughts?

Ok, after looking at it and taking some measurements. I would cut about 3 inches off the arms (to match cut platform) re drill and mount arms in stock arm bolt holes. Now rotate arms to a 47 to 51 degree angle and perform "my mod". Now to make up the belt difference (inches) go buy a stock lone wolf XL belt. I personally like the stock belts and wouldn't change to a summit etc.. but I'm sure others will work. This is what I envision without actually doing it so.... Send me a pic when your done. Sounds cool.

@Adrena123. Thanks for your insight. Do you think the stock arms are long enough to accommodate the locking arm for the line wolf belt after shortening them three inches? I didn't think there wold be enough room after shortening them. So you would recommend cutting the three inches from the end that currently attaches the arm to the platform?
I'm thinking of ordering some aluminum to fabricate new arms (so that I wouldn't ruin the stock arms).
Your thoughts.

Your cutting the platform so who cares about cutting the arms at that point. Right?

It will work, the "arrow" on the belt will be in the tube after the arms are cut. Yes cut them at the platform so you only have to drill a new mounting hole.
