what about redoing the buries on the loops and routing it like this blue line so that it hangs just outside the rails to stay open and theres no extra cordage involved?

I think u be doing urself a favor if u put some tube webbing or something to help with chaffing/wear
it's not on overly complicated process to do, there are lots of youtube videos showing how to do a buried locked brummel splice. a pair of knitting needles and some wire to fish your bury through with and you can have it done in no time. I think weldabeast is right about adding something to prevent premature wear on the loopMaybe. That’s a skill I’ll have to learn first.
