Has anyone got to put their hands on the lw custom gear mini sticks?

I e-mailed them this week and was told mine would be shipping today or monday... I had to have been one of the first orders. Also waiting on the Ambush to become available.

Correct. No interest in the stand, but would be in the Ambush once it becomes available.

Im #1222 and still no shipping notification. Im interested to see what everyone thinks.

Tree brackets are great. The sticks overall are light and quiter, also nest togethor nicely. The 'versa buttons' are just bolts with exposed threads, which I have a feeling are going to increase the wear and tear on the straps.

I need to play with them more.

I think it's mostly that I love my DIY sticks with the double steps and drilled holes and longer step spacing.

The guys that got them on the hunting beast are not impressed. There a pic of them stacking really sloppy and like what was said before the water jet cuts are rough. Very poor quality for the price. Andre and lwcg are really getting a lot of heat their product.
The biggest thing is that they weight much much more that they said they would during the pre-order. Now they’ve changed the weights on their website to reflect the actual weights that the sticks re coming in at. Plus they added a bunch of lawyer mumbo jumbo wording to say they are not responsible for lying to all the hunters that took advantage of the pre-order thinking that they were ordering some light, and ground breaking mobile hunting equipment. The sticks are actually heavier than the original lone wolf sticks.
The beast has a pretty extensive thread on this whole topic/issue.

I was gonna post this almost verbatim. Anyone wanting good info should go to The BEAST there are some in-depth threads. Although Dan Jr has the site down for maintenance again today. Sounds like, from what I'm hearing, the quality is not living up to the hype. And at that price, customers need to be very happy if you're going to have a successful business.

Sadly if the quality isn’t good they ha e already got your money

And I think some of the guys said LWCG was going to charge a $50 'restocking fee' for returned merchandise that wasn't up to pre release advertised weights. I don't have a dog in the hunt, and I've always admired Andre. The original LW stands/sticks changed the game back in the day. Much like saddles are now.

I got my sticks in. The waterjet edge quality looks a bit on the low side they are rough. I pulled the buckles off my straps. The compact sticks with buckleless strap is 1lb 14oz. So... over advertised weight.

I do like the rubber coating.
They do feel good in the hand.
They are super solid on the tree. Like they are welded in place.

Overall they are ugly but function exceptionally well...

Stand should be here Tuesday.

Do you think they’re better than beast sticks? Just curious b/c my impression of the beast stick manufacturing was super positive & those sticks blew me away compared to my other sticks in the past...... just curious sounds like guys are a bit disappointed
