MANTIS...... WHATS UP TETHRDNATION

Nothing is certain with this company.

What I find certain with this company is that they are bringing legit saddle hunting gear to our community, something that most of use waited a long time to see. Of course I don't expect anyone joining the saddle community in August of this year to have any understanding of just how fortunate we are to have several companies bringing quality saddle gear to light.

Ernie and Greg are developing gear, searching out QUALITY manufacturers, putting out almost weekly updates, shooting how to videos and building a business.... How about we give them a little breathing room and not be so quick to cast stones when we are the benefactors of their ingenuity and initiative.

Well said Dave!!

I know that there are several (rightly) upset about the situation, but, I also don't see how Greg or Ernie have failed in any way. I don't know either of them personally, but I know everything i've seen thus far has been true and transparent. I don't know how we can hold them accountable for a manufacturing delay. It is simple economics imo, if a new company wants to place a small order of 1000 saddles and you've got another company such as muddy, etc that gets 10000 safety harnesses a year, you obviously deal with them first. I'm not saying that is what is happening, but it could be! As a person who has received all their gear(fat guy), I can't express how blown away I am by it all. It is almost like it is was created specifically for me. From the linemans loop being separate than the bridge loops. This gives me a perfect place to hang my extra sticks while climbing, which is something I was concerned about before I received it.

I do wish I had gotten one ES hauler instead of two SYS haulers.

Anyone want to trade? :)

also, Idk if others got some swag for complaining or buying, but if it was for complaining, i'll be sure to complain next time! haha. I didn't ever get a patch!

I never got my patch either...I'd rather have a hat...

I have looked as thread entirely too much the last 3 weeks. Very unhealthy. I have gotten anxious cause I thought I would be a saddle hunter by now. But I will be a loc on man until it comes in.

I've got all my stuff except the predator. It is great. Val and Ernie have been great as well when I had a couple of questions. For me, it was worth the wait. Each time out so far (only 2x) I have done something different. 1st time was a sit/drag RC combo with my LW assault as a platform, 2nd time was with the manits, but using my LW sticks as a ring of steps (yuk), hopefully, the 3rd time and rest of season will be with the predator. It's a year of learning, tweaking, So far, I really like loosing the weight of the LW going in. Every little bit in the flooded Wi. Marshes this year makes a difference.

I appreciate the moderators and owners of this forum allowing us to express our opinions - you guys are the best and do a great job moderating.

I look at this forum and its members as a family of sorts...Instead of blood connecting us together as in a 'real' family, we are connected by our interest in saddle hunting. And, just like in a 'real' family, we will have our ups and downs but after its all said and done we are all still family...

Even though I have been critical the last few days of tethrd, I hopefully did it in a somewhat diplomatic way....You may not agree with that, and thats ok, because regardless I still care for every one of you as a saddle hunting brother(or sister).

Hopefully the tethrd crew will take some of our negative comments and be able to learn from them and make tethrd a stronger company in the future. I feel like that will be the case.

Now, back to the fun stuff... lets get out in the woods with our saddles and start posting some hunting stories on this forum!

It really wasn't the fault of the tether'd team- it was manufacturers not living up to their agreements. I actually think Greg and Ernie did far more than what most owners would do by being totally transparent..... and that is because they are great guys and a part of team Saddlehunter. I am willing to be they would have given anything to have met all the proposed timelines. Anyway, it should all be a thing of the past and we can all feel confident when we order in the future. How nice will it be to get a platform, saddle - heck everything you need in one shopping cart and get it in a week or so?????

I used my mantis for the first time last night. Loved the light weight and such man it was nice over that trophyline. But I wasn't very impressed once I got in the tree. I'll make do with what I got and rock it but definitely is some work to be done to shape them

So I want to ordered and I'm trying to get a hold of them but I don't think they are answering emails at this time because they are back up. Which is fine because I know they are really bust at the moment. I was planning on ordering the saddle and was wondering if the wait time is still around three months? Also do you guys know or have you heard anything about the platform and what is the time frame? thanks in advance!

Read post #1402 in this thread. That was their last update.

You do know that you are supposed to wear clothes under them and that makes them a little more comfortable, Right? Just makin sure.

Does anyone have a phone number where I can reach someone at tethrdnation?

Thanks

Scott
