Milled platform post

I made those brackets myself.
The xop 6 point bracket would be very similar.

Thanks. I didnt realize they had the lower profile ones. I have the climbing stick version that puts me further off the tree and aive been concerned the torque might snap on some day. Ordered.

Let is know if you cone up wig a versa button design.

Here is something I just did that doesn’t require any modifications and actually makes it easier to set.
Basically you thread the strap through the post and add a carabiner to the strap. ( I’ll call this a versa strap) You throw the versa strap around the tree while the platform is folded vertical up against the post. That way you can press the stand against the tree with your chest while you throw the strap/ carabiner around the tree. Then you attach the carabiner to the other end of the strap and pull the cinch buckle tight. ( very similar to a versa button except on a carabiner. After that the stand isn’t going anywhere and you can attach the 2nd strap that goes from one side of the platform to the other. This strap is the main strap that really cams down the whole system. The versa strap acts to help in holding the stand up while you cam it down with the 2nd (main) strap.it is also a

redundant in case the main strap fails. Also in a pinch the versa strap can be used as an extension for the the main strap around a really big tree.

I was thinking versa button to be used with rope/amsteel blue and attached in the same fashion as my helium climbing sticks or does this only work on the sticks because they only receive downward pressure? Would the versa button/amsteel method not work for a platform purpose? This way would keep every “tying in” system the same and keep me from having to learn how to build a whoopie sling for cam style.
PS. Dang good looking posts

@Huntingbob What is the round button on the post under the seat? And could you tell me the length and weight of the post? It looks really nice!

That is a steel rest pad that the seat adjusting bolt rests against so it doesn’t deform the aluminum. That’s an old post design. My new ones are flush with the aluminum

Both posts have sold. For those still wanting some I’m still going to make more, but I can only make them on my free time at work, so there will be limited quantities available as I make them.
If you know you want one and don’t mind waiting a week or 2 I’ll accept payment through PayPal for a few people at a time. I just don’t want to feel pressured to owe too many people posts. Pm me for PayPal info.
