NEW Daisy Chain style tether option

That 4500# is tinsel strength, the amount of force required to pull the bolt in half with a straight inline pull. I guarantee you that if you take a 1/4" grade 8 bolt in a vise, slip a 1 foot piece of pipe over the bolt and give it a good pull, you'll break the bolt.

But you are pulling equally on both sides of the bolt.

Try your guarantee. Video you pulling on both sides of the bolt and break it in half.

I wish I had a force meter large at work so I could quantify the effort required they way you said to break a bolt. I honestly don’t think it is as easy as you think. Not a grade 8

I don't think you are going to break the bolt. Yes you put more pressure on it the more it says but no more than you put on the brackets against the tree and they are the same size bolt. I would wore more about bumping the stick or catching my pull up rope on it and it falling down a few feet. It wouldn't be the end of the world just complicate your climb down. It may deform the holes in the aluminum tubing after a while causing the bolt to become loose.
You can definitely break a 1/4 inch bolt with a foot long piece of pipe. But you can't generate that much leverage on that short versa button. That's why it works. Now a over torqued bolt is easy to break. Under torqued bolts are easy to bend. How many of you have checked the bolts with a torque wrench.
