New saddle I hadn’t seen...

Jesus H that thing looks comfortable.

Beats my 2021 plan of a cruzr xc ass hammock, with a back band under my arm pits and a back belt holding my knees together.

throw back thead with a imbedded throw back thread inside of it.

A oversized fleece saddle is very similar to this as far as design. When I hunted with the fleece saddle I never had a desire to move the fabric up over my shoulders though. Having it up under my armpits then laying my head on the bridge was more than enough for me to sleep. I’ve said before and many of the OGs already know you’ll be hard pressed to find something as comfortable as a fleece saddle. I made mine for $5.
I couldn’t tell from the pictures but It appears this does not have lineman’s loops.
No LB loops but this instead

I like it.!!! I saw videos of guys tying up fleece jackets and polyester sheets to make this exact thing. Back it with a 29.99 RCH and some double braid rope bam! You’re right though. I still have to admit this is good marketing. I like listing the strength of the leg straps as 3000 lbs but they connect with g hooks that break at 156 lbs.....
Hee, Hee. That’s like the Tethrd backband. I was using it the other day, thinking about how much weight I was putting on it. You would never break the actual band since it is nylon webbing, but then I starting looking at those tiny buckles that you adjust it with on each side….plastic. Now I’m wondering how much weight those buckles will hold; especially after using it for a year or two.

All the throwback ones made me think of Bobby Boswell’s trophy line videos from 10 years ago when it was basically a giant hammock blanket with leg straps. Again I am sure it’s comfortable to sit in for a nap, but I just do not see it fitting my needs as a serious hunter.

Supposedly the plastic side release buckles are good for 350-500 lbs. they are stronger and lighter than g hooks, the problem is the can be broken by you bouncing into the tree or climbing sticks incorrectly. I believe that is why people went with metal g hooks or metal buckles

Pics or it didn't happen Tom :tearsofjoy:
There ya go

The side release buckles on this never take load. They are only there for installing the underquilts and potentially other accessories...

My older brother is named “Drey” so that’s kind of odd to see.. I doubt they named it after him but who knows??

he also weighs 400lbs so I guess he could use this saddle...

That's really cool, but it wasn't him. Drey is a noun meaning squirrel nest. I love squirrels and when you're up in the tree with this thing you look like one. Well, maybe with a little imagination. I may or may not have plans for an underquilt mesh leafy suit style. Talk about REALLY looking like a drey! That's the beauty (I think) of this design. You don't have to wait to buy the product for future modular upgrades. You buy the Drey and when we release a new hammock color, underquilt, or accessory you can just buy it and install it no fuss and no extra cost to you.

I am interested to see some other folks on here review this saddle. It reminds me of my Hennessy hammock. I’d like to see how much noise is made by the material mostly. Id also like to see how well it fares with the one stick climbing method. I climb up with my platform attached to my rear side with a 3D printed clip thing. I wonder how that would work as well.

Dario the noise really is negligent in my opinion but I don't blame you for wanting to see some reviews first. If you're real worried about it, slow movement will negate any noise produced by it.

I haven't one sticked with it but I don't know why you couldn't. When you release load off the hammock, it falls down behind you and you can sit right back down without having to touch it. The material is forced to stop and hang at pouch level because we have it sewed to the pouch so it stays on your butt, if that makes sense.. I'll be showing that in an upcoming video or I'm sure one the review guys will show it.

I DO have a solution for the platform clip. If you look at our modular molle here, you can put the clip on it. You'll have to slide the molle back around to your front side so the clip doesn't get dug into your body when you put weight on the hammock, but it slides very easy.
