Have you been on this yet? it does look like a heat treat issue.
They will reel in these little Qc issues quickly. One broke and one crooked. Honestly as quick as they were able to put all this together I proud its going as well as it is.

Ya, I think they will get the issues ironed out pretty quick. And, I have full faith in these guys making things right for the guys that do experience issues.

I wouldn’t expect it to come that way from factory, but they start to fuzz out even with light use. It all depends on the type of webbing used. My XOP cam buckle strap is pretty fuzzed, but it’s a softer nylon webbing whereas my LW cam buckle looks pretty much the same after 4 seasons.

What I'm noticing pictures just looks like a little snag in the strap. I don't know if that's the correct terminology but it's just looks like something caught it and pulled at it a little bit. If the stitching or something like that was coming undone maybe I'll be a little concerned but I haven't seen any photographs to Warrant any concern. Those straps are way way way stronger than they need to be and a little snag on it here and there sure ain't going to hurt anything.
