Thanks. I knew that was the time frame on the Mantis, but didn't know if that applied to the predator as well since they were already shipping.

Yes I think you will start from the back but don't quote me

Well after much anticipation our Predators arrived. I will preface this with we just got the Kestrel and hunted all last year out of a Lone Wolf. We will still use the LW sticks to climb.
The first impression out of the box was how light the predator is and it looks great. The size is perfect. I had problems with it shifting and the wing pulling away from the tree. After spending some time in it and finding even with the gap it was safe we worked our way around the tree and tried all we could to get it to fail. After shooting for some time we felt more comfortable in the Kestral and on the Predator than we ever have in a traditional stand. After my son decided to read the directions I now see that we needed to tighten the buckle down even harder, so potential disaster averted.
I was sweating it not getting here before an elk trip and it arrived just in time. After only a half hour in the tree we both felt comfortable shooting and look forward to this great system. The constant communication from the Tethrd crew instilled confidence that they were doing all they could do for us to get up the tree as soon as possible.
Lovin the predator platform and wild edge stepps with the knaider.

I put my platform between my linemans belt and my last step and I'm just stepping up on to it. It's not as far above the last step as it looks in the picture. Probably only a couple ft.How are you transferring to your platform from your last stepp?

Ive taken the exact same picture. It's a perspective thing. You should take real estate photos, looks like a three ft gap lol

I thought about just hooking the knaider to the end of the platform that would get a couple extra ft.I have read about guys extending there transfer to platform past a couple feet. I’d like to do the same, I recently purchased stepps and I’m going to use the knaider/ swaider method. Not sure how to get the extra height safely though?

That would put a tremendous amount of force on it.I thought about just hooking the knaider to the end of the platform that would get a couple extra ft.

I think that's a much safer alternative. And it gives you more shot options. Win-win.Sounds sketchy to me ...I have found it just makes sense to use a step almost at hunting height but I would put it as far left or right as possible and use it along w the platform to move around tree.

Agreed, I’ve always felt more comfortable w/ an extra hand/foothold at platform height.I think that's a much safer alternative. And it gives you more shot options. Win-win.
I’m wondering if you could tie a loop at the end of your tether and use it as an foot loop aider or put you knaider in the loop?
