One shot, everyone knows the rules!

I did some shooting with the compound (44 pound Mathews Heli M) a while ago out of the saddle. I put up a short stand using the Cranford rope steps and a Saddle Scaffold to shoot off of.

I'm pretty happy with that. I was about 30 yards (farther than I want to shoot at critters) and I was just a hair low. The season is getting close. I've got to incorporate more shooting out of the saddle.

Cold from 25

25 looks ok but the flight sucked. I’m getting different flight out of my old and new glove. Aldo I think I’m developing an awful case of the yips… it makes no sense whatsoever

Had the yips a few weeks ago. I shoot every day. Straight up scared me. Went back to the checklist but started with just one thing to focus on at a time before I shot the shot and I moved so I was shooting from close range. 10 yards. As soon as I was just focused on one thing the rest came back into place. Mine was grip. Got me back to where I should’ve been and I could work the checklist again as I squeezed. You’ll get it back and this will be a funny weird memory.

I had the yips with the longbow last night. I haven't shot it for a few days and the results seemed like I had never shot a bow before. There was no predicting where the arrows were going to end up. I really gland I hung the horse mat behind the target now. I finally got disgusted and quit for the night. I guess I'm just going to have to work through it. Hopefully I figure it out soon.

Apparently the yips are contagious and I have contaminated this thread. Sorry guys and gals. :tearsofjoy:

First shot last night from 20. My yips symptoms don’t start presenting until the second arrow. :tearsofjoy:

Have you tried waiting 10 minutes or so between shots? Would result in fewer shots per day, but if the quality of shots goes up then you can shorten the wait time to 5 etc. Quality over quantity menatality

I haven’t. Im getting it figured out though. Put my clicker back on and started using it as a psycho trigger again and it has really cleaned up my release and got me pulling though my shot again.
