PigMageddon 2017

I'm bringing my bow and 22 mag. Maybe one more. I will go ahead and register at least one or two weapons for each type of hunting ft Stewart offers so I'll be covered for anything in the future. I may bring a centerfire rifle depending on what the area status sheet shows being open this weekend.

I'm taking my 300 WinMag. If anyone has a 22 mag I can borrow that would be awesome. Remember, to register your weapon all you need is the serial number, make, and caliber. Not the actual weapon.

ALSO IF YOU DON'T HAVE the Fort Stewart map and app for your phone, you need to look at my first post. This map is pretty much a necessity. You will get lost on the installation because the roads aren't marked well at all.

This is a pretty cool event! Is this something you guys do every year??

It's only a cool event because of the work g2outdoors put into it. That's why I'm going. I have places closer that I can hunt but if a guy wants to go through the trouble of planning a group hunt having it catered and inviting everyone I'm willing to drive a few hours to meet him. I'm hoping for a great weekend of fellowship ,making some new friends and with luck killing a pig or two. Thanks g2

I am already determined to make it next year. @g2outdoors has gone all out. I expect to see some blood on arrows and kayaks soon.

I started this trip with Bow in hand then somewhere it went rifle only so I haven't been shooting. So now I'm rifle in hand. Next time I hope to be bow in hand

I am excited for you guys! Being a teacher in NY we always get a 4 day weekend for President's weekend. Actually a perfect weekend for me schedule wise, maybe next year! Can't wait to see some pics of the pigs and the members hanging out together

There is a range at the pass and permit office. they have a very odd list of approved cartridges. Like a 260 and 308 are approved but the 7mm08 in unapproved. Same parent case but in between two that are approved. 270 isn't approved 30-06 either but the 280 is approved. Obviously whoever made the list isn't very knowledgeable about common rifle cartridges. I doubt they do much checking but rules are rules.

My cell phone number is in the spreadsheet. Please contact me when you need help.

I was planning in being completely available starting around lunch time tomorrow. However, some last minute requirements popped up. You may not get me on my cell, but I'll call back ASAP.

When you check in at the Campground, tell them your with SaddleHunter.

@g2outdoors
What do you think about using the rivers. The gauge has been creeping back up close to 9 feet the last few days. It looks like they got an eighth of an inch of rain today.
