Heated Socks With Remote
Can anyone recommend some rechargeable heated socks that can be powered on and change temperature settings with an included remote?saddlehunter.comHeated Insoles??
Anybody have a pair of heated insoles that they like? My feet are the first thing to go and it ended and all day hunt at 11 AM last Friday. My feet do ok down to 35ish but once it gets colder than that it’s only a matter of time.... Any other cold weather foot warming techniques are welcome as...saddlehunter.com
I would not wrap any Hawk platform. A Hawk platform wrapped in rope will only cover the cracks in the platform when they happen; leaving the rope off will allow you to see the cracks better.I used to put a piece of 1/4" plywood down to stand on, while I was ice fishing and it made all the difference in keeping my feet warm. I imagine using a rope wrap on the platform would do the same thing....and make it quieter too.
I did a rope wrap on a Hawk platform, because it was too slippery and it was quieter too. At the time I never gave a thought to the insulation properties, but I suppose it would work. I may do a rope wrap on my new Trophy Ridge Mission platform....I don't use the Hawk any more (too small).

summit used to sell what they called a chill pad that you cut to fit on platform.. it worked extremely well but im sure any type of mat would.
What cracks are you referring to....weld cracks?I would not wrap any Hawk platform. A Hawk platform wrapped in rope will only cover the cracks in the platform when they happen; leaving the rope off will allow you to see the cracks better.
This.Cut a foam pad to fit the platform similar to a lone wolf lockon seat and stand on that instead of the metal.
Okay folks, let me ask… am I the only one whose feet get cold standing on a metal platform with air circulating all around it?
Any thoughts on how to insulate a platform?
That sounds pretty cool, any chance you could add a pic?I got a foam pad and stitched it to my platform with paracord.
Ive had 3 Hawk platforms for 3 years & theres no cracks. I do put that grippy tape for docks n stairs on them for grip & have had no problems. What cracks are you referring to....weld cracks?
I inspected the platform thoroughly when I purchased it and there were no bad welds or cracks. Plus, I've since replaced it with a Trophy Ridge Mission platform and intend to sell the Hawk platform.
Bout like me tellin folks to eat more garlic so they wont get chiggars, lol.I just wiggle my toes inside my boots, it really works wonders.
