Poor man's pacseat

While we are adding to @Red Beard's DIY list you should combine @sojourner post above with this:

A hammock tree seat using trekking poles seems like a great way to take an afternoon nap while Elk hunting. :)
I have something very similar to this but only one post that goes at the base of the tree. Think I used it once LOL. Great design and concept though

Red Beard how about a little DIY?

I like it but again, hard to shoot a stickbow whilst sitting directly on the ground

Super-legit idea. Tried it out months ago and got it working with a single trekking pole and a bedsheet. Again though, this chair relies on the presence of a tree.

Should have known you were a step ahead of me.

I know the idea behind your pacseat is to get away from the tree but, we're just expanding your product line brother! :)

Alright gugling complete. There's no way a niff t seat is comfortable for more than 15 minutes right?
I do half daynsits in one with my ghillie or behind my ghost blind pretty regularly...awesome to shoot a trad bow from...

Here is today's creation. Has independent shoulder straps (doesn't rely on the backpack straps), folds flat for the walk in, and sits fairly low when opened (~8" to the seat). Straps are oriented so that the frame functions as a load bearing shelf.

The problem I'm having is standing up once the shelf is loaded with 50lbs.
