Just bringing this one back to life. Curious how many guys changed there system in the last 2 yrs. Judging by all the one stick questions here it should be a run away.

Cinched climb line/ platform or ROS version of srt. Always connected ready to bail at anytime.

My best move has been to just leave my knaider and swaider in my dump pouch. Whether I climb with wild edge steps or single stick, I always rappel. So for me, it only makes sense to have to deal with setting up my aider and fighting tangles the one time, at the base of the tree before climbing. So, no aider on my single stick, just the knaider and swaider.

I still run my tether up the tree, regardless of what method I use because I'd rather fall on a tether with slack that just my Linesman belt. Often times I'll run my tether up and use my LB for positioning.

I can't believe no one is One stepp climbing yet, carrying only a single WE step and a platform. SOMEONE GET TO INNOVATING!

Good idea!

I moved onto platform climbing last season and now in the off season I have been trying to get the lwhc to work for me.

I switch between Drt and my platform with two aiders as a no stick. The platform climb is more silent I think than the Drt. So platform if I get close to bedding or it is dark,Drt otherwise.

Bolts when I can! Sticks w/ a swaider is also a favorite of mine...trying to get stepps down as I struggle with them in-season and just now trying one sticking...

4 Lonewolf sticks get me up the tree the fastest. Cranford rope steps are easier to pack through cover. Bolts are preferred if it's my tree and I believe I will hunt it again. (I prefer to leave them in.) Separate from saddle hunting, I still prefer a quality hang on set up in August.

I don't think this particular poll allows you to change your choice. To get an accurate read for the forum today I feel like you would need to start a new poll with the same question and choices.

Select the change vote on the bottom of the poll. I just tried it and it worked for me.
