I hunt private more than public. I kill more on public land by far. I see more deer on private but I’m much more selective in what I shoot.

90/10 Private/public. The public there is a group of us that signed up to control the deer population, bow hunting only. The public is because I like to hunt black powder also.

90% private 10% public. Me and my brother have a farm that we manage pretty well. We plant food plots, burn, manage our buck/doe ratio and mature buck harvest. Its hard for me to sit on public during our deer season as I am chasing deer I have been watching for several years. I do enjoy walking around the local WMAs this time of year trying to get on pigs and doing some fishing. Theres about 35000 acres of public less than 45 mins form me with 28000 bordering some good river fishing.

I hunt 70% private 30% public.

My own property is by far the best hunting grounds I have access to. However as much as I love hunting i love my kids more. So my property gets well used for atv/ jeep rides walks and fishing. That doesn't help the hunting but I'd rather have my kids enjoy it than have them sit in the house .

98% public for me. I have access to some private but only hunted it twice last season (only works on E winds).

Good friend got onto a lease in WI, shot 2 good bucks. He's got me thinking...

I have hunted private 100% of the time the last 10 years but I have moved and will slowly dabble in public. My private land is only 45 min away but with young kids it wont work out to just hunt private. The private land I hunt is pretty good and they don't allow any other hunters.

I hunt a lease within 10 min of the house but I hunt public 98 percent of the time...kill almost all of my bucks on public land...like the freedom to chase them on over 90000 acres on 2 different state forest and not be stuck waiting for them to show up on the 250 acres.

100% FL public

If I had the money i would gladly make my life easier and join a lease.

4-5 hr public deer drag outs with a no field dressing rule in place are miserable.
