Quietkat vs Bakcou

Here is a I believe three thousand foot climb on a Biktrix bike. I cannot remember if he mentioned the grade

An answer from the owner of Biktrix. The answer took two minutes.
Just posted it on FB. It is hard to beat that service.

A quote
“Depends on the gearing on the bike. You should get a smaller chainring up front and a larger cog in the rear and it should be able to climb no problem. With pedaling of course - it isn't designed to be a scooter.”

10 4. Thank you for the help. Wish I could try one like I was able to test the quietkat

Changed my chainring to a 34t. It will go up any grade at my age that I want to tackle lol. It's the Juggernaut Classic. My son has had several ebikes and says mine is the best geared hunting bike he's rode.

Another FB answer. Gearing plus the motor are NB

More steep slippery climbs with a Biktrix bike. Some 45 degree portions

I put a Bafang BBSHD on a Surly Pugsly. 42 tooth front sprocket with 9 speed cassette. I ride on mountain bike trails and have yet to find a hill it won't go up in low gear. I weigh 220.
I hooked up a Hawk deer cart loaded with 100 lbs and pulled it through dirt 2 tracks no problem.
I didn't find to many BBSHD having problems from what I read. So far I'm loving mine. Oh she tops out at 35 mph on paved flats.

Good to know. The ultra motor has even more potential power depending on the controller.

Frey actually makes the bikes that quietkat amd bakcou sells without the hunting upcharge.

Wonder what they could have went cheaper on to sell them a little less than the others? Battery? Or something else?

Nothing. They're typically exactly the same just not specifically marketed towards hunters.

Frey is a Chinese bike manufacturer
Bakou and the rest are resellers. No middle man with Frey

And thats exactly why I prefer lunacycle. They basically take a high end bicycle and convert it to an ebike. Their chain rings and battery packs are the best on the market imo.

Biktrix also does the same thing essentially. The only real difference is that Biktrix uses cheaper bicycles but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. All the other parts they use appear to be quality.

Tbh if I could do it all over id get the x1 enduro with the 2000watt controller and their 30 tooth chain ring. With that setup you'd have a 60 pound ebike thats fully suspended on a carbon fiber frame with enough torque to pull a car sideways.

I haven't seen another ebike with those specs anywhere. Especially at a $3500 price.
