Nicely done. I like the simplicity of your pouch. Stuff the rope and no cinching. Have you thought about reversing the lid, so it opens away from you? Could be out of the way more that way. You then could put a zip pocket on the inside of the flap if you wanted. Here my V1 with 40 ft of Sterling Canyon-VI

Very nice work Sharps. A couple of questions on your pouch. What do you use the loop at the top end of the pouch for and what kind of machine are you using?
I went back and looked at your machines. The 112 looks a lot like my 111. Mine was used to sew canvas during WW2.
Sharps, What do you think of the 241-12? I just found one listed about 1/2 hour from me for $200. I'm messaging seller now about particulars. Has table and (I think) a clutch motor. Pics on the listing are garbage so it's hard to tell. Those old machines sure are great. I'm not 100% sure what I'll do with my 112 now that I have the 332. I'm leaning toward keeping it set up for felled seams, or possibly putting a wider gauge on for joining zipper panels.
Here's the 332R.

Edited..it has a sump for oil. yuck.... I don't want to have to deal with that. If I didn't move every two years, maybe
How true to the original measurements are the tethrd ones? This was always top of my list for first project with the new sewing machine... But now the whole off-season went by and I didn't finish setting that machine up yet.For anyone who doesn’t sew, Tethrd has these on the market now:
Roll UP - Tethrd
The Tethrd Roll UP was designed for single stick climbing. However, we've found that it works PERFECTLY for any saddle hunter. Rope and carabiner shown for scale. Does NOT include a rope or carabiner.tethrdnation.com

i did, and they have an attractive mass produced price point. decisions, decisions...just eyeballing it, looks like the Tethrd pouch is about an inch narrower. Have you watched the video they made? It looks like it has some cool features like stretchy material and plastic inserts to help fight the flop when rolling.
Do you sell these by chance?I made another pouch this evening, this one with a blaze orange interior. While I'm fond of foliage green and coyote brown together, coyote brown and blaze orange is a close second.

And a fun shot of my pattern tacker in action. Just set up for bartacking in this video.
Do you sell these by chance?
Finally got the machine, pieces, and time to make mine.
As I was cleaning up, I realized that I used WEBBING, not the grosgrain for the edge binding. Makes a lot more sense of why that was so difficult to sew. Cordura as middle layer, ATACS poly gear mesh for outside (this was intendead to be the mesh, but it was not ‘mesh’ in the sense called for by this project, inside ‘mesh‘ was from Joann’s.
Picked up a Singer 237 and some 66’s for just over 100 bucks. My modern Singer I already had would have never gotten through this job. The 237 did fine.

I think it should be said out loud: this project will go SO much better for you with a rotary cutter, cutting matt, and straight edge as tools.
also, thank you @4090Sharps so much for the detailed patterns and instructions. It’s your fault this went so well for me.
Singer 8280 - bought it used for next to nothing years ago. It’s a decent unit, but it struggled to hem jeans and towels that had come un-sewn.Nicely done! What is your modern machine that wouldn’t have done this and what rope is that?
