A villain. I live in central cincinnati and I promise you...this fella doesn’t hunt. But the cop who took the report is a saddle hunter (you never know where you’ll find us). I think his blood is up and he is working overtime...haha. I have it all on camera so hopefully he gets caught. My guess though...he probably opened it, had no idea what it was, and tossed it in the trash somewhere. Mortifying.

Hello from Chillicothe, Ohio. Might want to check eBay or even Facebook marketplace to see if he’s trying to sell it. If he didn’t know what it was when he took it, I’m sure he looked it up and seen how much it was worth and is trying to sell it to somebody. I’m sure the fellas he hangs out with aren’t saddle hunters.

My Mantis was delivered to my office on Saturday at 11:47 and at 12:23 some jackwagon stole it. I had it delivered to the office because USPS never delivers there on Saturday and I wanted someone there to bring the package in. I guess USPS thought a random Saturday delivery sounded like a good idea. I'm livid.
What a scumbag. I feel for you. You wait for your saddle then some piece of crap steals it I hope he gets caught and they throw the book at them. Good luck.

I feel the same way as the OP. But I can’t make my mind up a saddle or the Hybrid. Can only afford one.

I'm going with the hybrid. Here is my reasoning. The hybrid is built on a pack frame and weighs about 10.5 pounds with the ropes and all. I am going to one stick climb with an aider. You don't need a platform you can just use the stick. I wear pants with lots of pockets to carry the little stuff I will need. So I will be carrying 13 pounds. With a saddle you need a platform and they weigh about 3 pounds . The saddle and ropes are about 4 to 5 pounds. Now if you one stick climb you add another 2 pounds. My best guess is that you will only be saving 2 to 3 pounds in the long run. The last reason for me was I hunt public land from September to January and I hunt long hours so I wanted to be as comfortable as possible.

Quick update. The good folks at Tetherd replaced my Mantis and Predator, though they were not obligated to do so. This is stand up, above and beyond customer service. And I love the saddle and predator combo, too. They've earned my loyalty and I thought I would share with you all as well.

That is awesome. I had a similar experience with First Lite when I had a package stolen several years ago. Big props to e-retailers willing to rise to that level of customer service.
