The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. Lol, don't feel bad @g2outdoors i went to Ohio the same week u were in Illinois and ate tag soup as well!
I’ve ate tag soup twice this year once in Missouri and once in south Alabama.

I'm hunting 4 states this year. GA, IL, FL, AL - could be an expensive bowl of soup for me.
Yes it can the non resident license in some states are pretty pricy. But hey I’ll take the tag soup and enjoy every bite! it’s the experience and fellowship that count and when you make new friends that in it’s self is priceless. The harvest is the bonus of it all.

Where do you hunt in Ohio? How long have you been going? I've been going up to OH for the past 7 yrs, hunted Paint Creek public land for several years (really like that area and would like to go back one day) until I linked up with a guy I work with who had been hunting AEP property around McConnelsville, OH for 20 years, he invited me to tag along and hunt with his buddies from the Cleveland area... AEP eventually started leasing their once public property, so the 8 of us lucked out and secured the property they have been hunting for almost 30 yrs, so I guess you could call it a hunt club now.... Excuse my rambling, I just really enjoy hunting southern OH, it's the highlight of my hunting season every year!!!
Haven't been on here in the last couple of weeks. I have been going to Ohio for the last four or five years. Still trying to figure it out though. We mostly hunt either private land we have gotten permission for or the Wayne National forest in different areas. It is some of the best hunting I have ever gotten into! I had a 150" 9 pt this year at 32 yds and just panicked, couldn't get a shot off to save my life! Some big deer up there!
I hear ya... I'm still trying to figure it out myself... I typically see at least one every year, but have yet to even draw back on one to let an arrow fly! The ones that I've had in bow range always seem to find the one tree to stop behind and eliminate any shot opportunity...! It's amazing how they know.

Hunting farmland is one thing, big woods is another animal. I have hunted Tar Hollow on and off for 20 years. Hard to kill a deer there. The past few years I have been hunting Zaleski State Forest. A lot of game there but also a lot of pressure in some areas. I recently moved to Muskingum county and a wildlife area borders my property. The pressure comes from locals walking the dog in the woods more than hunters.
