Screw in step platform positions, how many?

I did a search on this and really did not get anything. When using screw in steps, how many do you use and at what positions (as on a clock) do you use them around the tree? I am fairly new to this, and I want to see the positions everyone else uses.
 
5 or 6 usually. If I am facing the tree looking at the clock, I will put my main ones at 4-5 o'clock and 7-8. I put one at 6 for positioning as I move around, and the other 2 go at 1-2 and 10-11. On a big tree I may need to throw another one in there somewhere to make it easier to move around the tree.
