    The belt looks tough but from those pics in the link that loop I don't believe is rated for rappelling. Its more to hold a pouch and such.

    After looking again your right not for rappeling. I will have to wait till I get home in a month to check it out. After I sew it on will report back on progress. But still looks like good belt.

    The Treehopper Lineman's belt is ideal for this. It already has D Rings on the side for lineman and you can just attach the Sitdrag to it with elastic cord

    I bought one, and it's really stout. You could rappel from it in a pinch, but since it doesn't put the weight support under your butt, it wasn't very comfortable. If you wore it as a regular belt, it might be better since your pants would work as a harness
