Short Bridge

This requires you to learn a couple of new knots but it is worth the trouble. I hunted this bridge system this year and it works very well. Lets you stay connected to the tree for all operations. I used 8mm resc tech for the bridge and 5mm cord for the knots,

I love the idea of that, much like many of the @John RB innovations, but it sure seems like a lot of bunches of rope on each side of the saddle. Maybe it just looks that way.

It looks a lot worse than it is once you start using it. I shortened mine quite a bit since I only use the second bridge for climbing and rappelling so I keep it fairly short. That cut down on the extra rope on the right side,

I cut the webbing for the bridge on my Recon extra long, so I could tie the ends together to form a short bridge. Which I have to step through. My list of bad things includes cancer and politicians and suffering children; stepping through a couple of bridges once a day during the deer season really doesn't seem like an imposition.
