Guess I'm confused..... If they were that bad why would you sell them to someone else? Hopefully the guy that bought then wont get too upset.
The steps weren't bad, they just didn't suit my hunting style or my situation. The steps did what they were supposed to and would work fine on hardwood trees. However, most of my hunting is done out of loose bark pine trees because I live in the south, and hunt a lot of pine plantations. Also, they took way to long to get adjusted properly. Unfortunately, you don't know if a product is going to suit your needs until you try it out. I tried those steps and they weren't for me.
I contacted Mr. Sondles and told him about my situation, and his response was (and I'm copying this from his email), "I am not a Cabela's, that can offer refunds on anything they sell." He doesn't care if you're satisfied with his product or not, he only cares about getting your money. The only way I could recover some money was to sell them to someone else. Hopefully the steps suited their needs better than mine, but I took a $50 loss just to try out a product, and found out Mr. Sondles is a complete jack@$$. So if anyone buys Stepps, I do not recommend buying the Trophy Tree Steps, because the customer service is terrible! Get the original Jim Stepps. They may be a little more money, but at least you're not giving your money to a copy-cat jack@$$ who only wants to get your money and doesn't care about your satisfaction. Hope that clears things up.
