Steppladder Platform Board DIY

I'm thinking an aluminum welded piece that would slip on from the back. I have a couple of ideas just don't have the fabrication skills. I may use plywood as a prototype for the aluminum piece as I have tons of woodworking equipment. I'm just running out of time with work, scouting, and family vacation rapidly approaching. I would just love to give my for the tested WE step version.

I’ve thought about it long and hard because I love my wild edge Stepps, but to add a platform to one or have multiple Stepps around the tree, the predator platform just seems like a better option to me. So I went that route. I still hope wild edge WOWS me when the come out with a platform. A man can’t have too many platforms.

I just don't have the money in the budget right now for the predator. It will be next year's expense.

I came across this on the internet. It is not a step but would something like this work? Going to try the plywood method first and see if I can come up with something similar to the patent.

It is the stepp. That image is from Jim's original patent paperwork.
