make sure you format them every time you replace them .
i was going through sll my cameras today.
some of my tascos will only take 8gig catds no bigger but the newer ones will take 16gb cards but only scan disc brand.
so weird.
its a pain in the backside but these tascos are legit when you find what ssd card will work with them.
the older ones i have are 8 mp and only take 8 gig cards no bigger. The 12mp cams will take 16’s
Just mess with them with different speeds and size memory snd you should be good.
man ya cant beat the price.
i bought 4 in march fot 10.00 a piece at walmart lmao.

If you don’t re-format the sd card in the Tasco each time you use it you’ll have that problem. I religiously go through the the menu function each time and when it gets to the question to format the sd card I hit yes. Haven’t had that problem but I don’t view with an I pad but I have viewed them with an sd card reader and my iPhone.

Thanks for the input. I tried that as well with multiple cards and no luck. Didn’t work on my iPhone either. Maybe just a weird batch. Who knows

They work fine in a PC or android type device. The format of the JPG is not able to be opened on any IOS apple or mac device is the experience i’ve had with the tasco cameras. Makes no sense. The cameras have performed well and seem to hold up to the elements well so that’s only a minor inconvenience to me.

Wonder why it wont wotk on your ios systems but they work on mine.
all my electronics are apple.
i even use the ssd card reader from apple on my iphone snd they work fine.
what version of your operation system do you have. May be that.
my desktop just took a dump because the update isnt compatible with the new version so it forced me to soon get new computer.
i swear they do this on purpose.
especially with the iphones.
 
I never reformat sd cards after I view pictures and delete the camera file and haven't had an issue so far. I hope these Tascos aren't the exception to the rule because I'm not planning to get back to them for another month. Guess I'll find out then...

Ughh. Always reformat when you check especially after viewing i always do yhat

I have an iphone 12 with latest update. Not sure what model her macbook is. It’s older but i think updated more recently. I agree, if they mess up and make the hardware too durable, they counteract that with software that makes your equipment obsolete.
I am no computer or tech guy by any means. (I can’t even figure out how to post a picture in this board). My info on this camera brand is based on my experience and similar experiences i read while trying to retrieve pictures off my SD card. Maybe the software version does play into the compatibility?
