Total pack weight

Lucky you. Low here is 72 and the high is 90. Gonna be a lot longer walk back out! I'll be in t-shirts and mesh turkey pants until after Halloween, maybe Thanksgiving.

I’m down 40 on the Keto too. At 270 I was pushing the limits of the climbing systems. When I started on this saddle journey I realized the cheapest way to get lighter and more mobile was to look down and concentrate there. I need to weigh my old stand setup and the my new setup. I swear I was 60 lbs with my full climbersetup with cold weather cloths.

Down 20 on Keto for 3 weeks. Much more to go. Converting personal mass to energy and giving that back to the universe (saying losing weight sounds like you want to go right out and find it again).

Early season with the RCH/SD, 4 muddy pros and 2 Stepps, I am at about 25 lbs with all the crap I bring in. With RCH/Guidos Web and extra clothes for later season, I am more.

Congrats!!! I hit the 40 pound loss yesterday on Keto!! Started at 275, I couldn’t believe when I got on the scale for the 1st time in weeks that I was at 235. All my clothes are HUGE on me now. 35 more pounds to my goal.

What is this keto you guys speak of? If I could lose 20lbs. that would cancel out my hunting system. And make that 2 mile walk easier

Congrats to all the successful peeps slimming down and getting out there healthier. I'm down a little under 20 lbs from last year, could go another 20.

Pack comes in around 27 lbs including hydration, binos, 45 acp sidearm, Kestrel, and Lone Wold hand climber, amongst too
much other stuff. This is at least a 10 lb reduction from last season when I was using sticks to climb and stepps as a platform. And I move through the woods easier too.

It is a diet that consists of cutting sugars and the most of your carbs out. of what you consume daily, roughly 70% is made up of fats, 25% protien, and less than 5% carbs. After a while your body becomes a fat fueled machine, instead of a sugar fueled machine, and literally eats the fat off your body. If you followed strictly, you could probably lose 20 in a month or so.

I have been following Dr. Berg's plan on YouTube, after hearing of him from (and seeing the results of) @DaveT1963. Check out this video:

I started 36” waist down to a 27.75 waist on keto. Haven’t touched a scale just can’t find cloths that fit especially ‘hunting’ cloths. I carry GW plus ropes and 8 steps. Gets me 20-25ft if I use the WE aider. So about 17lbs.

Congrats to you too! My goal, like yours, is 200. It’ll take me some time, but I am viewing this more as a lifestyle change. That takes the pressure off me and I feel more comfortable with a cheat meal here and there (max of one a week at most).

I did that last year with great success. Then things went sideways.... So I'm trying to get back on the wagon. Had been 230, 190 to 200 is my better weight. Down to 215 since turkey season. Eating more meat more veggies less (almost no) bread and very little sugar. But not a strict keto diet.

So all my stuff and I weigh in under 250. At 6ft tall. My old stand and at my old weight with no gear was 250... My knees are gunna love saddle hunting.

Great job on the weight loss fellas, hopefully it pays off for ya this fall in the woods.

I’ve got my pack weight down to around 17 lbs without my bow(I always carry that in).

I just use a Magellan brand day back from academy with hip straps. Not too big but I can fit all that I need in it or strapped to it.
I use Primal steps and a wooden platform on a primal.

If I am doing a back yard on my own acreage hunt... 12lbs, but I add 40 to it for a workout. Everything needed. If I do a back country hunt then I add in all the necessities and still keep extra weight just for fitness... we would be looking at around 60lbs.

I've lost 70 pounds on Keto. I started February 15th.
I weighed my climber the other day and it alone weighs in at 22 pounds my pack weighs another 25 pounds with my camera gear. So I ordered a Kestrel. It will be here around November 20th. Now I have to work on reducing the rest of the stuff. I listened to a pod cast with a saddle hunter (can't remember his name but he preps 40 trees with screw in steps. I have to check my area to see if thats allowed. I'm a newbie!
