Tree Saddles Legal??

On many Federal and State lands there are restrictions that demand full body harnesses while climbing a tree or hunting from a tree stand. Could this possibly render the use of tree saddles illegal to use when on these lands without the full body harness.
Rule example;
Q. Fall-Arrest Systems: While climbing a tree, installing a tree stand that uses climbing aids, or while hunting from a tree stand on a WMA, hunters must use a fall-arrest system (full body harness) that is manufactured to industry standards.
Has anyone asked about these rules?

I am willing to bet that pretty much any law enforcement/C.O. who came across you in any of the major saddles would be fine. A DYI sitdrag, harder to say.

IANAL but when they put "full body harness" in parens I think it means the sentence could stand on its own without that part. Most saddles and RCHs should qualify as a fall-arrest system, and worst-case I think a jury would agree. Could just show them the flinginairos video.

I'll start worrying about full body harness and fall arrest system restrictions after I quit using climbing spurs and drilling bolt holes in trees on public and federal land.
Hmmm...A man is intrigued by this implication.
