What about it Hybrid fans?

I looked at the site again.......so essentially the seat folded back into the “hiking” position becomes a pack or at least a space to place a pack and climbing method? Am I seeing this right?

I'll be posting a video shortly in my review thread to show it setup for an early season hunt. Here's the math for me personally.

Hybrid - no pack necessary, 10lbs

Kestrel/Mystery Ranch Pop up 28 - 7lbs

I will always carry a frame pack to be able to pack out a deer, as I'm completely over dragging them. There's basically a 3lb difference for me, with the same functionality in packing. There are other significant differences between a minimalist saddle and this, but that addresses the pack question.

If you're not packing deer out, and you don't tote a bunch of junk in the woods, your pack may weigh 1-2lbs less than the MR, so your weight difference may be as much as 5lbs or so.

I am currious if you could use the hybrid with the hand climber seat as your climbing method and platform and sit down on the hybrid each time you pull your feet up to you?

You could, but I think it would be clumsy and clunky. The seat is rather big so you don’t have individual dexterity of each leg. Having said that if you’re using the hand climber it’s a straight limbless tree anyway.

Has anyone recently placed an order and got a timeframe on shipping.
Looking to order but Out of Stock.

Do you think you could attach some stick talons to the pack frame edge to carry sticks. Did you carry anything to stand on. I will try to hunt tomorrow pm out of mine.
I use the top steps of my top muddy stick, no ring of steps or platform, just the top step of my muddy. You could possibly attach the sticks to the edge but you may want to try and hang your steps on the back rest shoulder humps, they can hang there and are easier to retrieve.

This was what I wanted to ask about! I looked on the site but couldn’t tell. Is there a gear bag built into this or some type of attachement system for a bag, climbing system etc? Anyone near by that I could have a look at yours? Sauk co Wisconsin.
There is a storage area between the mesh on the back rest and the pack frame. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow. I place my extra lineman's belt there. I use my rappelling rope which is stuffed in a homemade bag that I have attached to the webbing that crosses the back of the pack frame, as my tether.

I'm still waiting on the video camera to get here. The company is sending another camera because the original was lost in NY. Once it arrives , videos will be posted.
Including hunting videos and a how to use the Hybrid safely video.

I’ll be making some videos soon too, just gotta find time in this busy life! Got a 3 day weekend for hunting coming up starting Friday. Hopefully I can get some videos while I’m out there.

I use the lone wolf hand climber with my guidos web. It works well.

I tried using the LW handclimber with my Hyrbid once last week. Was very hard and had trouble getting it to work. Really love the idea of the handclimber, just cant seem to get it to work comfortably and efficiently. Im going to try putting some tubing on the traction belt and zip tieing the arms and see if they makes it any better. If not, going to hang this climbing method up.

I've been messing with my Hybrid this afternoon.
I have my repell rope in a bag that is attached to the back of the pack frame and I have the tether end of repel rope pulled out of the bag and attached to the D loop on my shoulder strap for easy reach. I tether with my repell rope.
After reaching hunting hight, I will attach the muddy stick to tree and step onto the bottom step of the sectional. Then I place my foot on the top step to remove my spur and hang the spur on the lower step. (Samething with opposite foot).
Step to the top step and tether up and sit down. Pull up bow and hunt.
After hunt, I will lock the bow holders around my bow string and I repell down enough to retrieve my spurs and muddy stick (platform) then place them in my lap, continue to the ground.

Had my second hunt with the hybrid. Super comfortable... a big improvement compared to the guidos web.

I find it less cumbersome, easier to carry than the web, easier to shoot from and super comfortable.

It also carries Infalt sticks perfect because of the way they stack. It feels light on the back too with the frame. The way they pack I doubt they will catch on stuff.

How easy is it to shoot to your weak side? And what’s the process to do so?

Tip:
I have removed the bag that carries my repell rope and I now have my repell rope in the space between the mesh and pack frame. Works well while repelling and after you reach the ground, you only have to jab the amount of rope that was used to repell with back into the storage instead of the entire rope.
Example. .... I have 50 feet of rope and I repelled for 20 feet. The 20 feet is all that has to be placed back into the storage area.
