What did you do today?

The company I work for went 100% work from home on Monday. 10 hours on the computer and about half of that dialed into meetings. Wrapped up that fun about 4:30. Did some more bare shaft paper tuning with my RF test kit tonight after resetting the bow to center shot, Learning a lot about the effect that torquing the bow in your hand has on a bare shaft. Talk about nunchuck tears!

The 2008 financial crisis was really a mortgage crisis. This is different. This will run it's course in 6 months and will be over. Coronavirus will be listed as the cause of death even though the person was near death anyway. This will not be bad.

The virus doesn’t worry me. It’s the economic fallout that follows (already beginning).

So, if a country does nothing to stem the tide of the wuhan virus. It will increase about 30 % per day.once it spreads in a population. The rate of increase in Italy at the beginning and the present rate of increase in the USA. If nothing is ever done to slow it. The number of deaths in the USA will be 1 million and 100,000 in Canada.

ICU ‘s will be overwhelmed if we treat it as a joke. Ask an Italian ICU doctor.

I switched my 401K into cash and sold all my Lowes stock in the stock plan last year. The stock price is down 50% from it's high of 130 to 66.

When I say economy I’m not referring to the markets and/or a person investments. I’m talking in term of the economy and GDP and unemployment etc etc. My limited knowledge in economics based on my BS in Economics causes me to look at things from a different mindset.

Trump reducing government regulations has done a lot to boost business. Business will recover from the virus if only government stays out of the way.

Just gonna leave that for info. We are in for a ride folks. Hopefully it's all cleared up by deer and college football season. At least as hunters we all probably have a nice store of wild game in our freezers to supplement our pantry's. I like when leaving my house is a choice not a necessity. On a bright note I'm getting in a lot of bow and one sticking practice :)

Anyways today I did some yard work, started repairing a hole I had to make in my wall to fix some pipes and tinkered with my saddle gear.

Got a new versa button idea I’m going to try. I like using Amsteel daisy chains and this will be a lot easier to reach down and take of when 1 stick climbing. It’s some kind of hard composite ball with a brass insert. More to follow on this project when the rest of my stick parts get here.

That looks like a great idea but wouldnt you want like a 1/8" groove around the ball some so the rope have something to grab on to ..i feel that has potential but if rounded then a slight bump of the stick can knock it off

It seems like once it gets in around the base it bites. I’m trying this for ease of removing daisy chain while climbing 1 stick. When I get to the top I take more time into selecting a loop and usually wrap a few times above versa button to find the perfect loop. Ill be running an artisan platform on top to be my platfom so I’ll make it a little extra snug at height.I don’t think it will be a problem at all. But we will see.

I’m still working everyday. Trying to put some food in the pantry. Trying to stick to keto so I haven’t stocked up much because I mostly eat fresh leafy greens as my veggies. The freezers full of meat so I guess worst case scenario we’re going to give the carnivore diet a try.
 
HS English teacher and head varsity baseball coach here...baseball season currently being postponed obviously...hate it, especially for my seniors, but I know bigger picture keeping everyone safe is and should take priority. Just sucks. Heading to school Monday to begin the process of setting up AMI (Alternative Methods of Instruction) for students to continue to learn if they so choose (I hope they take advantage but it will come down to good parenting as most things in life do when it comes to kids). Our school is delivering/distributing meals to any student who signs up electronically which is so very important in my opinion (many students’ only meals throughout the week in my low socioeconomic area come from school). “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,...”. We should try as best we can to remain positive and serve others in times like these. God Bless every saddle hunter here and all your families!
