XOP Platform kits?

LOL I can wait an thank you for responding that far away. The saddle platform looks perfect for some natural ground blind operations as well as in the tree. I stood on my xop lock on to see how i liked it and it was 180 degrees world of difference and much more comfortable. Good luck and get a big one!

I would like buy a kit. I understand you're on a hunting trip. Just wanted to get my name on the list. Good luck to you up there.

I use a 1/4" amsteel for the stepp knot. Spliced and girth hitched on one side, stepp knot on the other.

So should I just order 1/4" amsteel with an eye splice sewn in? How long is yours? I would think 6' would be plenty to get around any trunk I will be on.

You could do that. Splicing 1/4 amsteel takes about 3 minutes. Piece of cake.

Could someone tell me the square stock dimension that I need to buy. My platform is on order but I haven't a clue what the square measures.

I sent you a PM with details.

How are your platforms attached to the tree? LW strap with a versa button?

No, you need to use the cam action of the seat to pull it tight to the tree. My kit ships with spliced amsteel. But some people have started using LW straps instead.

I bought a kit from someone on here. I think it might have been you. Machined from aluminum? Your from Minnesota?

Is there a thread on using the LW straps?

G2 has a video of how he does it. Basically you girth hitch one side and wrap the other Around the seat frame a couple times before hooking it on an ear.
