@Erniepower, thinking of ideas for another project. I'm sure this info is in here somewhere but this is easier. Is the post 1" and what is the wall thickness that you are using?

When you do the eye splice, look at a brummels hitch. It is much more secure than a standard eye spliceI want to start with the fact that I love this kit. I just ordered a fid so I can make an eye splice to replace the rope it came with. But I was curious, do you see an option where the platform could be slightly larger? I am a large person and it would be awesome if there was ever a platform that could give me another 3-5 inches away from the tree. I could stand comfortably and probably turn all the way around if needed just standing on the platform.
Either way I can't thank you enough. A total game changer. Just want to replace my rope and I ordered some Samson amsteel blue a while ago. Finally broke down and ordered a fid so I can eye splice the one end. I may order another so I can have a backup if anything ever happens to this one.

I have this same seat and was wondering if you were able to make something out of it? If so I would greatly appreciate any pics/specs Thanks! Will this one work? It’s the original Lone Wolf seat. The seat smaller than the one produced now.
It will work. You will need to either add spacers or drill new holes in the seat however because the pivot hole is farther away from the post. Here is the one I did. I wanted more teeth extending from the back so I drilled new holes.I have this same seat and was wondering if you were able to make something out of it? Thanks for the info! Did you use 1" or 1.25" tubing.. Thinking about using a solid piece since I'm a pretty big guy, I want it to be as strong as possibleIt will work. I used 1.5x 1" tubing. Then I add a stainless steel insert in the tube to support the pivot bolt. It's very strong that way. Thanks for the info! Did you use 1" or 1.25" tubing.. Thinking about using a solid piece since I'm a pretty big guy, I want it to be as strong as possible
Pm sentHi Ernie, I am interested in buying a platform kit from you. I purchased a new XOP seat and batwing brackets this week to build the platform and give saddle hunting a try this year. When you have an opportunity could you PM me some info on it? What’s included, Cost, payment info, etc. Thanks much! - Ryan
