In another thread I saw 4.5oz per step.Does anyone have a ballpark weight estimate for for a finished step with holes drilled?
I’ve been searching other threads but can’t find a step weight before attaching to stick? I keep finding assembled stick weights.

I was actually looking at those designs early today and agree with the raised lip at the end. For those that have Muddy Pros or API - can you measure the height of the step? Can we still use 1.5" or would we have to go to 2"?
Drilled them out. Took off only 70 grams per stick. Still, under 2 lbs per stick. Now primed for camo paint.

They look good. How thick is the tube and how big are the holes

Tube is 1/8" square tubing, 24" long. Holes are 1/2" every inch on center but kept away from the vitals, so to speak, buttons and standoffs.

The bump on the end of the step measures just a bit over 1/8”. Probably 5/32”
The step is about 9 3/8” long.
The widest part of the step is about 1 3/8”

Thanks for getting the measurements

I finally finished my light weight DIY climbing sticks inspired by @flinginairos. Thanks for the idea. I just finished the Brummell splice and end bury on all of the ropes.
Each stick weighs 1 lb. 15.1 oz.
I'm thinking of cutting off one side of the bottom step to lose some more weight. No need for two steps on the bottom, but I'll use them a while first to make sure.
