Made this daisy chain last night. Only had a minute to try on the one tree I have in the yard. It seamed hard to gain the tension to allow for the proper cam action. Any tips on setting the platform with a daisy chain would be great.

How much Amstel did it take?

I would have to go back and measure my scrap. My method was less precise than most. I wanted a longer than stock strap as I have already been pushing the limit on tree size. So I started with about 30' then folded it to have a approx 7' tag end. I then proceeded to splice from the folded end until the short end ran out. Ended up with a full length daisy chain and trimmed the long end before putting the final single loop.

Ordered Oct. 21 order #13796
Predator platform, tether, and linesman belt on the way. Still waiting on a medium mantis and ropeman 1’s

I noticed my rope man didn’t ship! Guess I didn’t make the cutoff when they bought the country’s stock up!

Roughly 14’ for a 7’ daisy chain. That’s based on deduction. Started with 100’ used 7-10’ pieces for stepps and have 16’ remaining.

Wow!! I’m order 8022 and ordered my medium saddle Sep. 10th and still haven’t received mine. I got my platform and accessories last week. How are people that ordered hat far past me getting there’s before me. I’m pretty upset about this process. They really missed the mark in order times. I was thinking 6 weeks and instead it’s been 10 so far for me. Should’ve just ordered a kestrel and got to hunt with it this season.

Man I ordered my Mantis November 14th #19015. Maybe I'll get it in time for next season. Good thing I also ordered a rc harness and a sit drag.

Really if you think of it they are doing the best they can. They are a brand new company, had no clue how popular their products we’re going to be. Put yourself in their shoes.

Sorry if it sounded like a jab, wasn't meant to be. I just meant after reading these forums I was getting excited about trying this type of hunting out that I had to find a way to do it.

I'm using an amsteel whoopie sling and it is awesome. It's a foot longer and 1.5 ounces lighter than the lonewolf strap I was using.

Received my Mantis saddle kit and Predator yesterday. I was a bit worried at first because the box loooked like it had been handled by a Tasmanian devil. Luckily everything was packed quite well and there was no damage. My strap for the Predator had found its way out of one of the holes is the box but I got extra lone wolfs so no biggie. Definitely worth the wait very happy with everything and will give a review from a newbies point of view at the end of the season.
