The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. Starting in 2020 only SH Members will be admitted to the annual hunting contest. Current members will need to follow these steps to upgrade: 1. Click on your username 2. Click on Account upgrades 3. Choose SH Member and purchase.

That puts a lot of extra stress on the bolt. There was a thread about it on the beast once. I forget if they ran the numbers but it’s iffy. Be careful.
Thanks, just what I wanted to hear. I'm sure Garrett probably ran the numbers back then. I'm good with DanO's Doublesteps, was just thinking of the spare parts I have laying around. I'll stick with safety!!
just upgrade the bolt to 5/16. I don't see why it wouldn't work. a grade 8 bolt can take a lot of stress.
I think I was more worried about bolt hole deformation on their bottom (stopper) bolt.
maybe im missing something but I don't see how it will make any difference. even in stock form with one step your still putting all your weight on that area.
Leverage. You would be putting significantly more force on all of the components with the longer lever.
