I just ordered a tree squeeze. I figure this will give me the protection I want & and self assurance that if a slip or fall does happen it will catch me. The best of both worlds using this along with the WE Stepps. Call me a pu...., but as some of you know I took a fall a few years back. This will give me piece of mind to climb, and get me high enough to hunt safely before being tied in by my bridge and tether.
I have one, works great! I don't think I would climb spurs without it.Joe have you gotten your tree squeeze yet? Id like to see this in action, im a little uneasy about the lineman’s belt alone
How do you like to attach it to your saddle?I have one, works great! I don't think I would climb spurs without it.
Do you have a spliced eye on your linemans? It's hard to tell from photos, but it didn't look like most knots would fit through the ring.
Thanks.

It seems like a pretty simple concept, do you think a DIY option is possible?I do, I have the Tethrd ropes. I run the spliced eye through the rings and clip to a carabiner on my left side and on the right side its hooked in with a ropeman1.
It's definitely an option. Some rings, a rope, and a prussic and you're in business. It seems like a pretty simple concept, do you think a DIY option is possible?

When I get a chance, I’d like to try taping a real heavy duty zip tie to a rope. That might add enough stiffness to do what the steel core line does.

Cost is definitely a problem, as is bulk and weight. Linemans and arborist gear is way heavier duty than what we need. Are you folks trying to mimic the tree squeeze because of its price, for a DIY project, or is it flawed for our use and trying to make something better? Maybe a combination, just curious.
