ugh - you just pushed me over the cliff - have one coming - all my properties are too far away to not have one. I guess we'll keep this thread going for a while. I sure hope Justin's issues get resolved soon

Haha, just called again yesterday and they said I would have an email by end of day... so I'll try again today? I'm kissing that $125 goodbye :)

I'm so close to getting a Moultrie. $179 at academy, $20 with spend and save, and a $50 mail in rebate. Only thing is they don't have the 100 free pics a month.

Yeah, but then I'll get an email that tells me the camera took some pics. I guess it's a glitch, but once you're in, you can see the pics.

Can’t believe no one else is having this problem. I really want to get a few more of these. But no way if the app won’t connect. Another bad thing with app not working is you control date time etc from the app. No way to set that stuff on the camera.E2D3D672-36CA-4F16-840A-7E64F5AFFAA8.jpeg

Alright, so you can feel better, after dogging customer support for an answer, I finally got a return call from someone that new something. My return was always being processed and it actually shipped out last Friday. Got a note on my door that I need to be here to receive shipment.

I stand by that their systems are crap and need a better way to track everything. It took me almost 2 months from when my camera went down, emails sent back and forth troubleshooting, and to get a camera back. I still haven't gotten an email from spypoint saying that they got my camera and they shipped a new one back.

So is it worth buying another one for $99 + tax? I haven't seen a single cell cam get 100% good reviews, but if it helps me get in front of that 37 point swamp donkey and lead my team to victory? I don't know, but I have till the 27th to decide between the spypoint, Moultrie, or nothing!

@g2outdoors - just an update since you were interested in these

OK good finally some more positive news but still concerning. I was thinking for 100 bucks how bad could it be - maybe it’s worth taking a chance on but I’ve also said that about $80 wild game innovations cameras a few times and I got burned every time

100% wrong
There is no activation fee and you get 100 pics a month for free (after first month free premium service) forever
Not 100% wrong! Do you really think a free plan with 100 pics is going to get you through a week. I quoted a 1000 pic per month plan on both camera plans. I also spent some time at field and stream, reading over the specs, before making my purchase. Their rep runs the spypoint cams and said they have a $50 activation fee. Would like to see something stating otherwise. However I did not go with the moultrie over spypoint due to activation cost or monthly fees. It was simply a 10 or 20 megapixel thing. For another $30 you get twice the megapixels with a moultree. Good call on the $20 off spendandsave code with academy. All qualifying game cams get the $20 off. Not just spypoint, but moultrie and many others. That would of given me the moultrie for around $110.

I need to dig into the cell camera game. I don't have any. There are several spots on the river I'd like to have these monitoring.

Looks like the field and stream rep was wrong. Maybe a new change... above says period ends in 331 days. Really comes down to 10 or 20 Megapixels then.
After running cams for years and years, decided to try two of these on my annual trip out west. Hang them and let them do their work. Not really worried about Crystal clear pics, just traveling thru. There are far better cams out there, I just like not having to pull cards. These are aggravating, to be sure. But... Thought I'd stick with them and see what happens.

You automatically get one month free when you activate the camera on the app. Doesn't matter where you buy it.

Yeah I knew that, but the quote said 'after first month free premium service forever'... I thought that might be something else. Maybe I'm misreading the quote. Thanks!

It would be nice if the picture counter reset on the 1st of the month like advertised.

If anyone is still looking for these cameras and has access to the promo site called guide fitter you can pick them up for $105 a piece, shipping is $20. I paid around $240 for 2 cameras after all was said and done.

I'm at just over 4000 pictures so far. Signal is 3/5 where I placed it. Says battery is still at 100%. Not sure how that's possible but I've had cameras give up the ghost way before hitting 4000 pictures so overall I'm happy with it at this point.

Have three in the woods right now and its detection doesnt come close to my bushnell. I can deal with clarity issues but it misses deer and takes more pictures of grass moving(I've experimented with different settings). I sat the cameras side by side and the spypoint has 400 in 3 days, 4 containing deer, the bushnell had 40, 9 containing deer. Probably will use these in wooded spots only once my trial expires. The cell part would be awesome during the season if the camera itself did well.
