How much stuff do you really need for 3 or 4 hours?I don’t use calls or scents till the rut.Bottle of water,Saw and a rangefinder for most hunts in a small fanny pack.Release is always strapped to my bow. When it gets cold and the action gets hot my sits will get longer and I change packs to carry a few more items but still keep it to a minimum. How can a guy gripe about a few lbs if you decide to carry enough crap for a camping trip to the tree?

Why a saw? I have never used one hunting pruners yes but never a saw.

Some of the limbs i have to deal with are just too big for pruners and i just don’t want to carry both.I got to find somewhere to strap one permanently on my Hybrid.

I was just curious. I used to carry a saw I never used it. So I put it in the shed. I have the easy cut pruners that will flat cut anything you can get in the jaws

I carry a small folding pull saw as well--it seems to work better mid winter when the trees are frozen that the pruners.

Small silky folding saw is where its at! Used it dozens of times. They can get through a hardwood branch no problem.

you have a particular model? I love my silky saw but it's way to big to carry hunting

I have the silky pocket boy with large teeth. Definitely worth the extra $. Takes up very little space. I can throw it in a cargo pocket while climbing. Pretty much lives in my bag. I have the bigboy also for clearing brush or grass. It will mow down long grass like a machete. Only cary that for setting up stand locations.

Got one on the way. Didn’t know they made a small saw like that. Thanks again
