Picking it apart now but here’s another off center bolt. Matter of fact, all of the post hardware is not centered.
Looks like they focused on production (solely water jetting) of the platform and post and the hardware and bracket on the post were an after thought.

Yea the got the spacers wrong. That needs to be tight. Mine pops and creaks.
They really should probably send new posts out or something.

I'm super bummed. At first glance unboxing I was psyched. Then...
-versa button is WAY off center and far from square on any axis
-post pivot hole isn't square with the slot it pivots in, you can see how crooked the post is when folded, and feel it binding as you rotate it to perpendicular(can see gap difference on left and right of post in picture)
This on top of the bolt issue, and wow. The quality is quite poor. This is going back. I really bummed.

How well did the versa strap work?
Take both. That’s what I am doing for my kentucky trip.
This platform is the only one that has usable space in the most important position for a saddle hunter - behind and to the side of the post - this allows you to get most of your foot on either side of the tree, but tucked up against it on small trees, or toes right to the tree on really big trees.
The legacy of hang on design is strong in all the other platforms. The shape needs to be reversed. This one is so big the shape is just square, but at least they got the above part right.

I agree on the usable space closer to the tree. I’m also curious to see what they do to correct the issues. In my opinion a versa button doesn’t do anything but allow a platform with factory defects to be usable. It’s awesome that they are admitting a problem and scrambling to stay on top of it but it was almost too fast as if the intention to send buttons out to everyone was there the day they shipped the first ones out. If your only problem is the versa button being slightly off centered the fix will make it usable but you will have paid full price for a factory second.
If your pivot point isn’t drilled true like @Vtbow a new button definitely doesn’t fix it. It’s a good looking design with plenty of room yet it’s still compact enough to retain some advantages over treestands.

yeah, I"m really bummed. Heres a close up of the pivot area, you can already see where the post is binding because the soft coating is wearing on one side. I can only imagine this is going to open up the gaps with use and make for a loose and creaky platform. Keep in mind I opened and closed the platform maybe 10 times, that it.
I will say, everyone wanted an assassin but 2lbs lighter. I think even with the holes straight, that much lever on that bolt on that thin platform is probably gonna have wiggle and creak. I hope I’m wrong. Looks like they’re 85% of the way towards filling this niche

agreed, but if the post was pivoting square to the slot on the bolt, it would be 100% better than it is right now...
If it pops and creaks like the predators I had, it's going where they went. Away the heck from me.
I definitely prefer a little bark noise from a ROS to the pops and things that scream TREESTAND! to a deer.

I"ve emailed and haven't heard back. Andre left me a number a couple days ago, when I emailed about the button issue, but I wanted to wait for the ambush to show up and inspect it before calling back. I'm going to call today.
The main reason I ordered one was for packing the mini sticks and just a little more foot room over the predator.
I opened mine when it first came and saw the bolt issue and until my versa button comes or LWCG fix gets here I’m not touching it.
I sure hope we can find a fix for these other items because I won’t put up with it making any noise . I don’t mind spending the money for it if it does what I need. If It doesn’t fulfill that need it’s junk to me regardless of cost.
