Charlotte, NC area
What amount of insulation would I need to get for NC area is 800 enough or do I need 1200 or more. I think 800 would work?

Probably 800 in NC. I'm in the Midwest and use 1000 but have hunted in breathable waders. The breathables allowed me to put on more layers underneath and we're easier to walk in.

800 is gracious plenty.

I wouldn’t go above 600 and get a size larger so the dogs can breathe.

I wear breatheables regardless of temp. When it’s really cold and I add these wader pants...

They’re like a dang oven so buy a size larger with them also so you can slip them on after the walk-in/decoy/brushing work is done.

We can kill 6 total including 4 mallards and 2 can be hens. You must be shooting heavi steel or black cloud at $1.25/shot. I figure I'm closer to .50-.75 per shell.
