Not my daily shooter but I been wanting to find the longs a new home. I only get about #49 on my 21" risers with them.

Hello - my name is longbowwally, and I have a problem - I love trad bows and I cannot stay with just one lol ......

I have several bows.....My current bow that I'm turkey hunting with is a VPA riser with trad tech 2.0 long recurve limbs pulling in the low 40's...Prolly the best shooting bow I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot lol ....

I also have a Fedora flatbow I really like.

I've also got a JD Berry Morning Star(reverse Handle ASL) somewhere between here and Colorado 'in transit' in the USPS system since last Saturday .

I've also ordered a Northern Mist Ramer(reverse handle, string follow ASL) that should be delivered in about 5 months or so...

I think the ASL's are cool so am going to give them a try....

I shoot carbon arrows and 200 grain VPA 3 blade broad heads. With the ASL's I may end up shooting wood arrows at some point...

We're all in the same boat :) I just picked up a timberhawk talon hunter. I'm super impressed with it, feels extremely similar to my Asbell bighorn. Worksmanship is incredible on it, with a great semi high wrist grip.

Trad bows are like saddles, you've got to try them all to see which you like and then you keep them all because your never really sure which one you like more.

I currently shoot a Fedora TD Hunter which was the first recurve that my dad built with Mike Fedora. I also have a 60" Hitman longbow, a Bear Grizzly, and I am picking out the wood for two bows that my dad is going to build for me this spring. I'm leaning towards a riser combination of ebony dymondwood and bocote with bocote limbs. Almost forgot I will have an old Browning to play around with as soon as I get a string for it.

That doesn't count my 10 yr olds samick or my oldest son's new bow: https://saddlehunter.com/community/index.php?threads/new-recurve-for-my-son.25770/

I need a bigger bow rack.

I have a tempest riser on the way. Should be here by Monday.
My max6 limbs should be here in about 10 days.
The ones I was trying were light so I ordered #5 heavier.
I am about done buying bows.. I have shot and owned many. I don't go to bars or casinos. I love archery and I have a handful of the most powerful recurves ever.
I love wood and glass and make a very decent bow but for myself, metal risers and super curves are the shat.
Border hex 7.5 or and of the 6 series, Morrison max4 or max6, uukha vx1000..Evo2
The hex 8 and above feel like limbs out of time, I guess if you shot them you would know what I mean.
Its a great time to be a recurve shooter that's for sure!
