Community Saddle (Where's Sally?)

Sally has arrived in the huge community of Cato Arkansas. Tomorrow is stormy weather but Saturday I will be putting her thru the ringer with my newly acquired Mantis and my trusty well used SitDrag. Results to follow and then she will be in the mail on Monday

There is an airfield for the National Guard training area not far from me. My land borders Camp Robinson not far from the artillery impact zone(can be exciting at times). We are definitely in the center of nowhere

Ok guys, I’m sending Sally on her way tomorrow.
I am in love with this saddle. As a SitDrag guy, I’ve gotta say that it is great on comfort. I just got a almost new Mantis very recently so I was able to try both these as a side by side comparison. I took em both to the tree and started with the Mantis. I liked it but was not overly impressed. I have no butt and it seemed to constantly try to climb my backside. I tried high tether, low tether, sitting and leaning. Overall, I think it needs an adjustable bridge. Maybe that will earn it a equal share of my hunting attention. Next came Sally. Fit me like a glove. I’m 5’10” and 165 with a 32” waist. I love the adjustability of the bridge. The saddle cupped what little behind I have and allowed me to be very comfortable in both leaning and sitting positions. Very nice saddle, honestly I could see it bumping my SitDrag down to number 2. @always89y you hit a home run with Sally. From one DIY guy to another.... Bam! You the Man.
Edit: @peteherbst is up next, sent you a PM

Glad you liked it. Really is the Tethrd Phantom design, with just a few small differences.

Have you tried a Triad style bridge with your mantis. I hear it makes all the difference

That’s my plan. The fixed bridge that comes with it won’t work for me. Triad is the direction I’m headed

Between an adjustable bridge and some whipping knots around the bridge loops to act as comfort channels, my mantis isn't the same it once was. For the better. I'm also looking at adding an in between hook up for leg straps

Just finished fooling around with Sally. @always89y, I can’t believe the quality. Fantastic work. I think this may have inspired me to buy a sewing machine. I’ll be revisiting your design process thread and rereading now that I’ve seen the quality.

I previously had a mantis and now have a kestrel so this was a nice look into what another option could look like. Thanks again, @always89y for passing her around. Great idea.

@JAYBO is next as @Scooter1234 is going to pass. She’ll be off to Florida this afternoon.

Hello everyone. Sally came in the mail yesterday. I got home late last night. Looking forward to some hang-time tonight after work. Oh, yeah.

I’d like to see sally... wish I could have tried her when she visited Huntsville AL.... I live in Decatur
