Thanks for the code. What temps would you wear the barrier system? I’m looking at getting my son a new system for nov Michigan trip.MTNOMAD50
I really like their Barrier pants. Durable, and warm. Fit true to size
Anyone have complaints about Nomad gear? I‘be been eying it for a while, but felt it was overpriced. With this code, I might just have to load up!
From their website, it doesn't look like there is any real insulation in the Barrier Jacket. it's simply a soft windproof shell with a light fleece interior. That being said, it's probably comfortable down to the low 50's. Not typical November weather here in Michigan. Thanks for the code. What temps would you wear the barrier system? I was eyeballin that too. Hell of a deal with the discount.Looks like I'll be running the Scrape set the year thanks for the code!
Looks like good stuff! I guess we'll find out when the cold hits lolI was eyeballin that too. Hell of a deal with the discount.
I bought four of their jackets (in medium and large) to see what I liked the best—Conifer, Cottonwood, Scrape, and Harvester—and I just got tried them all on today. The Conifer and Cottonwood were quick no’s from me because they’re too heavy and bulky, which interfered with pulling my bow. I’m questionable on the Harvester, which is the cheapest of the four ($65 with the discount code), but also the least fitted. I think I’m most likely to stick with the Scrape, so I’m curious what you/others think of it. I like the Veil camo pattern, the comfortable (but fitted) fit, the tapered sleeves, the quiet fabric, and the warm pockets, especially. I don’t think it needs a hood, but I also don’t think it’ll be in the way since it lays so flat on the back of your neck. It’s a better jacket than anything I currently own, but don’t know if it’s worth keeping for $140 or saving up for Sitka/FL/Kuiu...Looks like I'll be running the Scrape set the year thanks for the code!
Is there something else you can recommend at this price point? I bought the scrape jacket and bibs and I feel like it is going to work a lot better than the old junk I've been wearing.I bought a bunch and it’s all going back. I found it to be poor fitting and didn’t like the materials used for the pieces. I ordered a scrape jacket and bibs, barrier jacket and pants, and high ridge pants.
At the price point where it is at 50% off you probably can't beat it. So, to answer you question, I can't think of anything I've personally tried that I would recommend over it at that price point. It's not bad stuff, just wasn't for me and definitely not worth retail. Is there something else you can recommend at this price point?
