Hey guys...I know many of u have been asking me about my 2 new Saddles (Phantom & Cruzr XC) and what I think of them. Well below is a link to the video I just posted if u want to check it out... Just to let u know I have been trying these 2 saddles against each other for about 2 weeks, sitting many hours in both and walking around in both...I didn't try either against my Flex.... I just wanted to try these 2 during this period.

XC gets my vote also. Like you said it’s amazing and you just have to sit in it.

Anyone know where they get their buckles? I think folks would like it more if they had a buckle brand name on it and a rating (not just Cruzr, which unfortunately gives the impression that they sourced some cheap buckles from a company no one has heard of).

It has a rating written right on it. 22 or 24 kn I think

I currently have a Flex out for repair/replacement. I just ordered the Cruzr after watching this review.

Glad I was wrong, but I'd still feel better about it if I knew the buckles were from a well known 3rd party (Raptor, Cobra, etc).

I like to see these two compared to the flex. Nice video, like always

Just watching videos, the thing I don't like about the Flex is that the leg straps come up so high. This not only gives a front wedgie effect but also makes it harder to layer clothes under it (based off my experience with some RCHs). I stopped using my Petzl Gym harness and switched to one with lower leg loops for this reason. Basically, I want a harness that is built like and similar to a top of the line rock climbing harness but has a panel to scoop your rearend so that you are comfortable all day.

Just got shipping notice on the replacement Flex.
I sent my Flex in for replacement like two weeks ago how long from the time it was picked up until you got the shipping notice did it take?

They received mine in on 3/30. I didn’t expect it to take this long but they are actually working out of their homes building saddles.

One of the comments I have heard about the cruzr is that it feels like you have a pant load when walking around with it on when hiking in. @Mjdohring, you didn’t mention that in your review and actually said it was very comfortable walking in.

Did you not experience that feeling? What about the rest of you that have tried the Cruzr XC? I prefer to wear my saddle while hiking in vs putting it on at the base of the tree. Also, I’m a little stouter at 5’-8” and 185 and was thinking all that extra sling material might be to much.

I found that if I pull the leg straps tight I get that feeling somewhat but if you loosen them a little the feeling goes away.I also like wearing my saddle in and out and I went out twice in my XC, both times walking 1-2 miles in and out out as well as walking around looking for hogs and was comfortable in it.

Edit: I’m 5’7” and 150, slim build and size 1 for reference

I decided to modify my Cruzr. I am going to put tethrd g hooks on my leg straps. I like the buckles. They are easier on off I think but while up in a tree I think the tethrd hooks will be easier to let out.

Also, I might throw a raptor buckle on for S&Gs. Don’t know why other than to see how hard it would be to change...
